Hi guys,
In the link a topic about a young guy with serious e.d. problems questioning about a Penile Implant.
The reactions, also from guys with a penile implant are very negative.
Do you think there comments make sense?

Re: Very negative response on P. I. question
I would guess the guy with the negative response to his implant has other issue with ether his expectations or the implant itself. Like most of the implanties on FT, I am VERY pleased with my implant, and yes, I lost some girth and a little length, but then again, I'm 74 not 21. You did not say if you have tried tri-mix injections. I used it for over 12 years and up until about the last year, it worked very well for me. I would give it a try if you haven't, and don't be afraid of sticking a very small needle in the side of your dick, it's no big deal. An implant at your age may not be a good idea if you can find something else that will work for you, because as was already pointed out, over your life spanned, you would need several revisions (replacements). As far as a partner finding out you had an implant, first, they probably will if they play with your balls, it is right there with the boys, second, I would just explain that you had a medical problem and had it fixed! Would you not go out with a girl because she has a breast implant? What is the difference?? And if someone does have a problem with you having an implant, they most likely are not worth your time. Good luck to you and I hope you find a solution.

Try everything else first. If you STILL can't fuck, an implant would be your last resort (as it was mine). My implant dick is NOT as good as my "original" young dick. It is way better than my 60+ year old post-RP limp noodle.
Keep in mind...these implants do NOT last forever. Every time it is replaced, you "lose a little", whether it is size, sensitivity or something else. If it is your LAST RESORT, go for it and fuck while you can!
I was "crushed" post RP not to be able to fuck. Now I can...and do....
Good luck

Re: Very negative response on P. I. question
it requires the inside erection chambers of the penis to be carved out and discarded permanently.
Not from what I've read in this group. I was just reading where someone actually had a hardon after surgery w/o pumping his implant. The thread went on to explain that the spongy cavernosa tissue is spared. I even assumed that one was rendered sterile from the surgery. Not the case. I find it odd that the posts were overwhelmingly negative and not one encouraging post . There is no doubt that implant surgery is an extremely serious and irreversible option. Not only that but at your age insurance companies will be most reluctant to approve the procedure. Then there is the ~6 week recuperation. I have not had one myself and am in the midst of going the injection route. Should this fail then yes. I would urge you to seek as much medical talent as possible and be not embarrassed in the slightest. You have many, many years of quality time ahead of you.

Re: Very negative response on P. I. question
They do preserve the cavernous tissue...just push it aside for the implants as my doc said. With every revision most men gain length because the implant being pumped regularly has expanded the tissue.

Re: Very negative response on P. I. question
Like other men on FT, I have explored and tried every option available. Being tall, handsome, witty and in very good shape, I haven't had difficulties attracting fun beautiful women. But those that I wanted to enjoy sex with were put off by not being sexy enough to get me hard (high maintenance women are often very vain). On top of that, the hit or miss (mostly misses) of trixmix and pills often took all of the fun out and spontaneity of sex. Now I don't even try to have sex because my cock rarely gets hard enough for penetration and never stays hard enough beyond a few minutes. Nothing is better than a good size cock that isn't shy and likes to perform naturally when the opportunity presents itself, even if that is on a private beach on a sunny island. An implant is the closest that I'll ever get to that. Although women like the control they have over a man's cock, they also enjoy a spirited, spontaneous fuck in many "configurations" LOL. At 59 and having a preference for dating women in my age group, being able to excite and satisfy a woman "reliably" with a robo cock LOL is a great trade-off for a limp dick and two horny people!

Try Danial Canfield at broken boner radio. It is a pod cast. He had ED from day 1. He is a good guy and works with DR Goldstein at San Diego sexual medicine. The entire staff is easy to work with. Great people. Your location is not posted. But they would be a good resource. Danial Will do a Q&A with you. He has been where you are now and will understand. Give him a try.
