An implant looks more and more likely in my future.
But of course, like us all, I have size concerns post-op.
I’ve been told that one should only lose size in the difference lost in a lack of glans engorgement. This is what my medical team tell me. But that essentially, it will be the same post-op as your stretched dick.
But I have read of drastic losses amounting to 2” and more! Which for me would be an absolutely catastrophe. It would be for anyone but I have less to play with.
Does this happen typically in men with more structural abnormalities or ailments that have affected them, such as PC? I have an otherwise healthy penis with normal structure.
As for my measurements, I don’t know them exactly but I am approximately 5 - 5.2 inches in length erect which is considered just about average in my country anyway. BUT my girth is substantial and I have always, always received compliments and loving words about my dick. What’s more is that I feel I define the term ‘grower’ as my flaccid state is about 2.5.
So,
All being well, and I know this is so hard to answer as it depends on make and model used, how the surgery goes, his skill etc, what can I hope to come out with?
Any substantial loss in size would hurt me badly.
Thank you, brothers.

37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

More and more doctors are recommending that their patient's use the VED pre and post op to help maintain the size.

Would this not benefit those who are experiencing zero natural erectile activity as opposed to those who do still get some nocturnal activity, more?

Re: Another SIZE Question
Defiant,
I have read about size losses here, but there are many guys here who have ended up with the same size or more. Remember, with anything in life we tend to be more vocal about things we are mad about so those comments about size loss tend to scream out at us.
believe as long as you go with a qualified surgeon you wouldn’t typically end up smaller. There are no guarantees so I encourage you to think in terms of whether it is better for you to have a dick the size you have that is unreliable or to possibly have a slightly shorter one that works every time. When you get to the point where you just want one that functions, you are ready for an implant.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Thank you so much, Greg for your ongoing candour and kindness in your replies.
You’re right. I’m absolutely positive that there comes a tipping point where you’re just so fed up that you want it treated, no matter what.
And that’s the point I feel I draw closer to by the day.
Thanks!

Do you know much about what should be expected in terms of glans engorgement?
I was told that many men use creams and such for the engorgement and my follow up question to that was, well is that necessary? Does that make penetration hard? To which he said no. I mean, what is the point of the implant otherwise?!
I have read many men say they still get engorgement when aroused.
I just want to avoid floppy glans syndrome at all costs!!

Re: Another SIZE Question
floppy glans is a result of undersizing.
a correctly sized implant supports the glans so penetration is possible.
dr eid said an implant actually traps blood in the glans, so if u have some glans engorgement to start with, it might actually improve.

Re: Another SIZE Question
In my view size loss is more about using a low volume surgeon than scaring or any other factor. You want a doctor that has several devices at his fingertips and is not hesitant to remove a device and replace right in the Operating Room if the fit is not what he likes.
Prostatectomy 2004-Bimix caused Peyronies-Viagra had little effect. Active sex life with wife of 50 yrs- been dependent on a VED for 10 yrs. 22cm Titan w/Dr. Eid Aug 7th See my Implant Journal -> http://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/board,56.0.html

I have had issues with glans engorgement since I had a Prostatectomy. Since my implant surgery there was a point wherein really thought it was coming back, but it has remained very sporadic. My cylinder tips extend well up into the glans so I have no issues at all with floppy head.
