Three piece taken out.

Postby BorisA » Sun Jul 15, 2018 12:00 pm

I had a AMS 700 fitted in India. It got a serious bacterial infection and had to be removed in Thailand. Now five weeks on, the surgery has healed but I have no natural erection feelings. Is there any operation or procedure, to get back feelings at all? I have heard the procedure is irreversible other than fitting another implant, but I would just prefer my natural feelings back. Thanks.

The same thing happened to me. I was re-implanted and am very happy. The feeling is gradually returning and I can screw like an 18 year old again. :)

Your only option is another implant. Sorry you had to deal with this. Both countries have reasonable prices and surgical tourism is big business. You might want to try Costa Rica. They have excellent medical care there. I know internists in St. Louis that go to Costa Rica for such things as shoulder replacements and back surgery and have friends who retired to that country. Staph cannot be killed by bleach until it has been in contact for 15 minutes. Staph is the most common infection transferred from skin. I clean my motel room with alcohol and a bleached wash cloth, soak in a tub with a cup of regular bleach in the water for about 20 minutes for 3 nights and the morning of my surgeries. 27 surgeries so far, 24 since being HIV positive and no infection yet. Everything you can do to prevent infection helps. Cheers. d

Be careful about bleach. For some purposes, it should be diluted to avoid chemical burn. Tiny droplets of straight bleach on my blue jeans (I poured some on a floor I was bleaching and some splashed up) ate holes in the lower legs. I am not sure what undiluted bleach would do to skin. But Alibaba's advice about disinfection is VERY valuable.

I have a friend having knee replacement surgery and the hospital gave her some bottles of anti-bacterial soap. Instructions are to shower with regular soap and rinse. Then use the hospital soap, let it sit on the skin for two full minutes and then rinse and dry with a freshly laundered towel. Do this daily for 5 days prior to surgery.

Infection prevention is SERIOUS business.

As you have found, the implant operation performs some irreversible actions. To place the implant, some of the erectile tissue inside the corpus cavernosum (if not all of it) is removed or permanently damaged. The expectation is that, after implant surgery, there will NEVER AGAIN be any erectile function inside the cavernosum. (The corpus spongiosum, outside the rigidity-producing cavernosum, is another story. But the spongiosum is not capable of producing an erection, but only fullness in the shaft and the glans.)

Normally, when an implant is removed because of infection, another implant is put in its place (usually a one-piece malleable, but sometimes another 3-piece) so that tissue shrinkage (loss of length) does not occur. Then a few weeks later, after any lingering infection is not a danger, a fresh three-piece implant is placed. Rarely, a man is left unimplanted, but for only a short time (days or weeks, not months).

Unless the election is made to not place an implant at all. But this practically guarantees the man will never have coitus again. A serious decision.

Larry10625, Alibaba and a few others on the forum can speak from experience on this far better than I can.

After being re-implanted, post sepsis, my surgeon was telling me the steps he made so it wouldn't happen again... it was so drastic and there were so many things, I got a bit of a chuckle out of it... it's not funny but, he just went on and on and on.... a couple of the more drastic things were... once everyone who needed to be there in the OR were, the door was sealed and nobody was allowed in or out. Every couple of minutes he would stop what he was doing, irrigate with an antibacterial solution and suction out, IV antibiotics before, during and after, etc. Bugs were very afraid to come near me... I pictured the little RAID guys. :D

Your nerves heal more slowly than most other tissues. You may or may not get back all your feeling. But you will almost certainly never get back the wonderful strained feeling of a fully rigid penis. At this pint, only an implant will do that for you.

What are your intentions on replacement (or not replacing) with a fresh implant?
