I have just registered to this site and am hoping to get some advice on whether an implant is best.
Here is my situation -
I think I 'injured' myself about 10 years ago having intercourse. I didn't feel severe pain but the next day my libido was severely weakened - similar to symptoms of venous leak. Since then my ED has gotten progressively worse. I have 2 hard plaque like pieces on the back of my shaft and some hard veins on the front. I suspect peyronies. I have been to doctors (family/urologist) but they haven't been much help. I am seeing one at the start of next month and will press for a penile doppler ultrasound, which I still have yet to get done. I feel that step 1 is diagnosis! (if at all possible, but many urologists over the years have been useless.. no offense). I also get hourglass shaped erections that eventually straighten out once enough blood is poured in (if I can get an erection via girlfriend and drugs that is).
I have severe ED now. Without drugs I can't get it up via masturbation and actually 'finished' the task with a flaccid penis. This didn't happen to me before but did in the last few months. This was very scary to me! My condition / symptoms over the years have gotten worse. I have done everything I can to minimize the progression of my condition from eating healthy to not drinking to not smoking or being around them, etc. I feel my life has been socially isolated to large extent over the past 10 years. I missed out a lot. I've had a few relationships but now am completely dependent on oral medication to have any hope of a suitable erection. Even then I typically need to not have had sex in like 4-5 days so last like a couple seconds.
I'm not sure if I am at the point where I should consider a penile implant. I feel that my condition will just keep getting worse.
I am hoping to get some feedback/advice from some younger guys (20-40) who have had it done. Based on my situation what do people think?
Question's to some young members that pop up include -
What are younger people's experiences? Have you young single fellas been happy with the implant in subsequent long term relationships? Is it relatively good sex/sex drive wise compared to before your health issues developed? I read on sites that 'people with implants have fathered children' - did some of the younger members go from single with implant to having a wife/family/kids? Is sperm quality effected?
This is my first post of Franktalk - So happy to be a part of this community and begin receiving some proper feedback! I don't know why it has taken me so long but it feels good to be a part of this group !
