Coloplast Titan One Touch - Uneven Deflation - causes and fix?

Postby lifetimetmser » Sun Apr 27, 2025 5:59 pm

Tomorrow is the start of week 6. Began cycling 5 days ago.

Still pain and discomfort even after deflating as I still have a constant semi-on making it painful to wear underwear and pants / trousers and also makes it difficult to bend down or get out of a car / seat.

I think I’ve figured out why.

To deflate I press and hold on to the deflate button and apply pressure to the the base and shaft. I then start to feel the fluid emptying on the left side of the shaft and feel it is noticeably softer along the left side. However I don’t get the same sensation of fluid emptying on the right side of the shaft and at the end of the deflation, the right side still feels firm. It’s as though the right cylinder is still full of fluid. The right side of my groin also feels noticeably more sore than the left.

Also, the tubes feel more prominent on the right side base as though it is closer to the surface. On the left side base I can still feel the tubing but it feels more embedded.

Thinking it all through and having done research on ChatGPT, I think one or more of the following things may be going on to impede deflation of the right cylinder:

1. there is more swelling on the right side than the left - will hopefully resolve as the right side heals more;

2. the right side cylinder has not softened up as much yet as the left side - will hopefully resolve itself with more cycling;

3. there is a kink, partial blockage, or different positioning on the right - not sure how to resolve this; and / or

4. there is a problem with the right side cylinder / tubing / pump valve which is causing flow restriction - not sure how to resolve this.

Has anyone had problems like 3. or 4. and how were they fixed?

Thank you.

Hi

I'm not implanted yet so I don't have a clue but if there is a problem with the right cylinder in deflation, there must be the same problem at inflation.
Does it becomes firmer when you pump ? If so I dont think there is a problem but maybe check if tubing is straight.

Good luck

Thanks. From what I’ve read, it is possible for one cylinder to inflate but still have problems fully depleting.

2 years One Touch. This stuff takes time to figure out and heal etc. I went through hell trying to inflate/deflate along with same issues that you're describing. I watched video after video on doing this properly and eventually you'll figure it out. If anything when deflating I tightly squeeze right below the head very tightly while pressing the tow buttons with my other hand and keep squeezing and I empty out in seconds. It took me a long time playing around to figure this out. GL out there.

How long did it take you to figure that out? Am feeling R side aching more when I try to deflate which makes me think the problem is lower down.

This morning R side deflating even less.

Tried lying on back and tilting pelvis up while deflating but still no progress and while squeezing shaft and massaging right base with deflate button depressed but no progress (left still ok) plus I can feel a definite intensification of ache on the base of right side. Makes me think the problem is lower down than shaft.

Can’t understand why the left side is getting easier but right side is getting worse. I tried cycling 3 times yesterday so maybe all the cycling is making it sore / inflamed on the right side. Left side actually feels fine. Going to leave it alone for a few days.

Appreciate any more words of wisdom.
