Nope, don't accept this. You need to find a way. There is always a way.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024. Read my implant journal here.

You're angry and frustrated, but it is absolutely workable! Dude, I waited four years with EXTREME ED--NOTHING worked: pills, lithotripsy, SPINAL injections (!).

Yeah, try doing spinal injections SEVERAL times!

There is no overstating how bad my sexual dysfunction was from some dumbass bacterial infection doing god-knows-what to me. I could barely get a hard on for masturbation, a laborious act which required CONSTANT manual stimulation (and that's when it did work).

But, here I am, sitting here with an implant inside of me, able to get it up again.

I hated hearing this too, but everyone has to be patient. There absolutely must be some kind of payment plan you can be put on, or a relative who can meet you halfway. If not, January will be here before you know it, and you'll be able to get a new health plan through the network. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, their Silver plan, covered everything for me.

Now, here I am looking BACK on my extreme erectile dysfunction, back to a time when I thought it would never end.

Hang in there!

Don't give up, man. Take care of your wife. Go out and do physical activities like walking or going to a nice picnic spot, something she likes, or to a restaurant!!!
You've lost faith. You should never lose faith because you'll be dead!!!
I think some insurance will give you the prosthesis. It just takes time. Stay calm and take care of your wife. Do fun things, so she can see that you're someone interesting!!!
She'll be patient if she sees you're doing well, and you'll be able to get the prosthesis. Cheers!!!

After 12 months, the sleazeballs will increase the APR to 29.99%, so keep that in mind. I recommend switching to another institution, such as a bank or a credit union, around the 11 month mark. Use this link to check if your physician offers CareCredit financing.

Did you use CareCredit, LastHope?

Yes! My Aetna plan from work ditched me and I used CareCredit to pay for the implant, but the billing lady was sweet. She warned me about the 29.99% interest rate after 12 months, so I cut a check after 3 months from my emergency fund instead. I suppose I could call the implant a quality-of-life emergency. CareCredit felt like just another Best Buy Synchrony credit card, worth it only for the 0% APR for 12 months but complete BS after that period! A personal loan from a bank is miles better I think.

It is never hopeless. Do not give up. A good doctor's office billing department should be able to get insurance approved.

Hey man i feel you...especially I'm 27 y o with refractory ED...i believe it's one of the worst conditions a man could ever get...but thank god there's a solution when there was none not so long ago...and it's a good one...not just a solution but a good one too...
I see how finances and insurance companies could be a big hurdle....
I suggest you get it outside the U.S/europe...much cheaper prices and not a compromise of expertise or equipment at all (infact much better at malleables)..Egypt alone has five centers of excellence...actually the first description of intacavernosal implantation was in Cairo univerisity by Dr.Gamal behiri in the 60s..and alot of generations have been doing implants since then that Egypt turned to be the regional hub for implantation ... and with all that experience you could get a coloplast malleable for 3000$ and an inflatable for 8500 $ all inclusive....India too is another option with high volume implanters at similar prices as well...

As I'm a doctor myself (and a patient) and after reading countless articles and surgical books , I recommend the following 3 ( all are centers of excellence) : 1) Osama Shaeer
2) Ahmed Ragheb
3) Osama Ghattas
