Concerning the longevity of the implant, this is how I think they get the 15-to-20-year figure. For those of us who are using it multiple times a day, multiple days of the week, we are most likely bound for a revision within 5 years.
Have a follow-up consultation with Hakky on Monday regarding eventual malleable revision.
Has anyone here who is VERY sexually active had their inflatable beyond 5 years? I'm inflating anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day.

Are you planning on getting a revision soon or until your implant fails? Also, what is making you choose a malleable one?
I'm shooting for this year, but it looks more like it's going to be early next year. No, I am NOT waiting for the thing to fail; that's what I'm trying to avoid.
I'm choosing the malleable for a couple reasons: 1) I don't like all the hardware, a reservoir in my abdomen and a pump in my balls; 2) I don't like having to pump the thing up twice a day for 30 minutes to maintain stretched cylinder length (this is inconvenient and a pain in the ass); 3) I can't position the implant upward for missionary style sex (no problem with malleable according to Hakky); 4) there's a lack of spontaneity that comes with the inflatable 5); I have a loose scrotum from some prior surgeries, and there is simply no hiding the pump; 6) I don't really care for the feel of the inflatable (those who have had both say the malleable just feels like a natural erection).
