Advice Needed

Postby Curious2 » Thu Apr 10, 2025 12:15 pm

I just received my Trimix yesterday. The instructions said to use 5 units to begin with so I did. This resulted in a semi erection that wasn't capable of penetration.
My instructions say to increase the dosage by 2 to 5 unit increments up to a maximum of 50 units until desired results are reached.
Is increasing by 2 to 5 units good advice? It seems like I've read that this may be increasing too much at a time.
My mix is as follows:
Papaverine 30mg/ml. Phentolamine 1 mg/ml. PGE 25 mg/ml

Help please. I want to try another dose this afternoon. I have 14 days to see if this mix gives the desired results and if not they will change the mix one time for free. But I only have 13 more days.

Thanks

Just to reiterate, I am using between 20-30 units on the U-100 insulin syringe mixture of PA 30MG/PH 1MG/PG 10MCG
This keeps me hard for just over an hour. I think you could safely try around 12-15 units, just keep your antidote handy.

Ok. The units and ml and mg are confusing. I thought you mentioned you use 2.5 in the other thread and meant units.

I do have the phenylephrine and some Sudafed. How much Sudafed is recommended?

If you are heading to 3 hours without any sign of getting softer then it says to inject up to 50 on the syringe of the phenylephrine

I would think you would want to chew on a few sudafed about hour 2, start with 2 and then look at more in half an hour or so.

Once when I was in Florida for the winter the pollen count went through the roof. I started to really suffer. I called up my Doc friend and told him I was taking 2 Sudefed and nothing was happening. He said take 6, I said what? He said to me that sometimes you have to take a medication until it really kicks in. Seemed to make sense to me and by God it worked.

And at the end of the day no one wants to take an embarrassing trip to the ER.

Your concern is reasonable. If your starting dose is 5 and you go up by 5 that is a 100% increase.

I went through a lot of adjustments to doses in the 10 years I injected. If I was starting with 5 and got a substandard erection I would go up by 2 or 3.

The next time (if that was still substandard) I would increase from that dose of 7 or 8 to a dose of 10-12.

If that dose seemed substandard I would increase from that dose to 15-20.

As the last dose got larger my increases got larger proportionally.

No one wants a trip to the ER to have priapism drained.

If I was getting substandard results with 15u or more I would ask for a more concentrated mix. For me the sweet spot for concentration was about 10 units. A really concentrated mix that required fewer units than that was difficult to draw up accurately and the risk of over (or under) dosing was higher. If the mix was weaker and took more than 10 or 15 units I felt like I wasn’t getting the best value. The compounding pharmacy charged me the same for a 10cc vial no matter what the strength so I wanted to get the most shots out of it (within reason).

I’ve sent you a PM.

The units and the way the scripts are written is confusing but can be figured out once you know how they are structured.

There are 100units in an ml (milliliter)
An ml and a cc are the same volume.

So 100u = 1ml = 1cc

The mg (milligrams) or mcg (micrograms) in a mix vary from person to person. So when someone says “I take x units” you would need to know the strength of their mix to really compare their response to yours. But frankly, we are all different. It doesn’t matter how many units someone else takes.

The mg and mcg of a medication is expressed per ml (or per cc, same thing). It’s not the number of milligrams in the vial. It’s the number of milligrams per ml in the vial. That way you can know that the medication in a 5cc vial and a 10cc vial are the same.

But once again, we are all different. One person could take an 18u injection and get barely a response. The next guy taking an 18u injection of the same mix would end up in the ER with priapism.

Titration is more art form than science. My body reacts differently on different days to the same dose. It's good that you have the phenylephrine - my instructions are to take 50 units (0.5ml) followed in 10 minutes with another if necessary (one always works near-instantly for me). Be patient and move the dose up slowly and incrementally, keeping in mind that the same dose tomorrow could be too hard too long so don't over push the increases.

Goodwood's injection advice is golden. I do need to add one small comment on this paragraph. That comment is that there are some exceptions. Unfortunately there are a few compounders that give the ingredients as per vial size. So for a 5 ml vial with a potency of say 10mcg per ml it will be listed as 50mcg as that's the total amount in the vial. To then be able to compare to other mixes, written as per ml, you have to convert to mcg or mg per ml by dividing by 5 or if a 10ml vial by 10.

Almost always, but there are exceptions, the alprostadil (PGE1) is written in mcg (ug) which is micrograms. The other ingredients are almost always written in milligrams (mg). There are 1000 mcg per 1 mg.

This is a new question. I was looking at penis anatomy pictures of the corpus cavernosa and noticed that there is an artery in the center of each cavernosa.
What are the chances and risks of hitting and injecting into this artery? I'm only using a 5/16" needle so hopefully that minimizes the risk.

7 units didn't work so I guess I'll up the dose next time.
