Why do you have to use an insert. My Erecaid came with an insert but I've never used it.

I have tried without the insert but it sucks in lots of skin and then also very difficult to remove penis from the cylinder

Avoiding getting extra skin sucked in as well as your balls is a learned technique. Play with the angle you hold the cylinder against your groin. Some guys have had success packaging their balls with a silicone ring or lasso beforehand. Try different stuff.

As for difficulty removing your dick from the tube; it can be a little difficult after pumping to maximum erection and applying a constriction ring. I've found that I must use plenty of lube, both for pumping and removal. Skin that isn't sufficiently lubed will stick or drag on the cylinder wall both during pumping and removal.

I've found I have to lube the whole shaft and the entire interior of the cylinder. Usually I don't get enough lube applied the first time and will have to remove the cylinder and add more lube as the vacuum enlarges my dick. Insufficiently lubed skin doesn't like being dragged along the inside of the cylinder and can even tear.

LUBE!!!

I have similar problems. I have used a Pos-T-Vac MVP-700 with the large size cylinder for a number of years, It's about 2 1/4" internal diameter and 10" long. Even without the bushing in it I get kind of "stuck" on it when fully pumped, I have to use enough lube and sometimes wiggle it around. I also found that holding down the deflate button helps, otherwise residual vacuum will fight you.

I just got a LeLuv pump (available on Amazon) that has a 2.5" ID cylinder. It's better for me not getting stuck, but my balls tend to get sucked into it (mine are relatively small after years of TRT), so that's a thing. There's no free lunch I suppose!
58yo in good shape looking at Coloplast Titan. Tri-Mix still works but is a drag.
