Side effects?
I’m trying to decide which route to take. Pills worry me a bit because of potential side effects. Especially those effecting vision. At low dose (5mg tadalafil) is there a concern? What are some experiences? Thank you.
Re: Side effects?
Stay away from Viagra, its all because they were first to market and brainwashed everyone with a zillion dollars of marketing.
Try Cialis and Levitra. If you are in a country which sells Stendra then go for that.
The side effects from Cialis and Levitra are very calm compared to Viagra which can impact your sight.

Re: Side effects?
Before implant and injections I used them. Viagra seemed to work the best, but had the worst side effects. I just felt blah the next day. Lavetra just didn't work for me. I used Cialis for quite some time, and even daily for BPH.

Re: Side effects?
Have you tried PT-141. They are selling a pill in the US (Cannot get it here in Canada) called the Mt.Everest Pill?
I think the combination would be dynamite: https://nuimagemedical.com/mt-everest?s ... mMdjyf4HBT

Re: Side effects?
You have to try this for each of the 4 common medications; it is different from person to person.
Personally, I can take Cialis like candy, no side effects at all, even in higher doses (30 mg). You just have to be careful, if you take too much, it can be funny at night when you wake up with an erection every half hour. Viagra: Gives me a hell of a headache from 50 mg and works less well. Spedra doesn't work at all, and Levitra only gives me a headache, but otherwise doesn't work. For other brothers it's the other way round, Cialis causes a drop in blood pressure and, funnily enough, back pain.
I consider myself blessed with my Cialis tolerance, because daily Cialis helps to keep the erectile tissue healthy and prevents atropia and shrinkage due to the stronger erections at night. I take 5 - 7,5 mg daily, and top up with 15-20 mg when I want to have sex. So IMO Cialis beats the other medications, because it gives you also some kind of "treatment" of your ED (means: it helps you to loose your erectile function slower).
But I'm 50 now and have to take higher and higher doses to get the same effect. In the end it will probably be an implant, but with Cialis I can stretch it out for a few more years I hope. Though the thougt just to pump it up and fuck without overthinking anymore is becoming more and more some kind of a temptation.
So: God save Cialis, my life medicine; but that's just my individual opinion.
Ergo: No one will be able to tell you seriously, you have to try it out by yourself.

Re: Side effects?
Prior to RPP for PCa was experiencing slight ED. Took Levitra and cut pill in quarters which worked fine for me. Viagra gave me massive headaches and vision problems. Tried Cialis as prostate surgery for blood flow but didn't note any improvement.
Second IPP Titan / Genesis. Experienced pretty much everything negative up to implant. Lost @ 2 inches from plication and atrophy. Willing to show and tell just an ordinary penis. Wish I had IPP much sooner.
Re: Side effects?
Initially I liked Levitra better than Viagra and Cialis made m groin ache.
Eventually none of the pills worked well enough for me and I went to shots.
As my ED progressed and I needed higher and higher doses of shots I started adding generic Viagra (Sildenafil) in addition to taking shots. The generic was much less expensive than the others. Sildenafil and Viagra never gave me vision problems but did give me a stuffy nose and mild headache.
Now I’m on 10mg a day of Tadalafil and have no side effects it seems.
So in my case, side effects have changed for the same medication (Tadalafil for example).
The best advise is to just try different meds and see what suits you best at the time.

Re: Side effects?
Interesting timing of this post. I just today picked up some Viagra. I had Cialis that did nothing for me, so I thought.
I’ve been able to get chubby without meds, but just can’t get stiff enough for penetration. As I’ve mentioned (vented) in prior posts, my uro has not been the most helpful in my ED journey. He prescribed Cialis and didn’t tell me how to use it. I took a 5mg waited a couple hours and nothing happened. Nobody told me that Cialis has to build up in your system. Nobody told me that it may take some lengthy masturbation and/or foreplay to get it to work.
At my next visit to my Uro, he prescribed 20mg dosages of Cialis. Again, I took it and thought I would have a magic wand waved over me and I would get an erection, but nothing happened. Ugh!
Next visit, he prescribed Trimix which did give solid erections in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes. Once I perfected my routine, I loved it.
In between my usage of Trimix, I would still try to get a natural erection. I actually got hard enough for penetration by myself on a couple occasions, but when I engaged my wife, I was so anxious to have sex, I couldn’t repeat it.
Not wanting to give up, I went back and tried Cialis again, this time 3 days in a row of 5mg and tried foreplay a couple hours after taking it. Nothing, so I thought. Just as we’re about to fall asleep one of these nights, i noticed I was getting hard. The wife was already asleep, so I didn’t pursue taking advantage of the opportunity.
I did some research and found some interesting info related to these drugs. Cialis is like what was mentioned above, more of a daily long term drug. Viagra is a quicker, more spontaneous type drug. I thought maybe if I took Viagra, the faster acting might work for me.
I also found out that even with Viagra, one might have to masturbate/ have foreplay for a half hour or so to get it to kick in. The article went on to say that one might have to use it 6 or 8 time before you get a positive reaction. Again, nobody me about these things. Maybe Cialis would have worked if I would kept after it. IDK.
Anyhow - one might ask why try the pills if Trimix worked so well. I hate to say it, but disaster struck in early December. Although I’ve been only using Trimix about 9 months, I got PD. One day I injected and everything was normal, the next time I inject I’m pointing to the right (about the 1 o’clock position, so 30 degrees) and slightly upward. I freaked out. I stopped injecting and started a serous regiment of using the VED. When erect after pumping up with VED, I actually looked straight again. If I curved to right, I could straighten it out and it would stay straight.
So, since I can almost get a natural erection without drugs and using Trimix (I think) gave PD, I’m going to give pills another try.
Side effects - back to the original question - when I use Cialis, I get the stuffy nose and minor headaches. That was not an issue for me. What I didn’t like and I’ve not heard anyone have this issue with it is it definitely caused me to have restless sleep. I’m surprised to hear some take before bed. Maybe I just didn’t take it long enough to get used to it?
After reading the above posts, I will have to be prepared for headaches, which I hadn’t heard about with Viagra. Again, nobody told me.
Sorry so long! As always, thanks for the support.
I will keep you posted on how I make out with Viagra - and yes, it goes without saying that I should find a better Uro, but living in Podunk Pa, there are not a lot of options.

Re: Side effects?
My surgeon started me on daily 5 mg Cialis before surgery and said it would not conflict with my concurrent use of Trimix. The purpose is to help my body get back to having nocturnal erections in my sleep and to help with glans engorgement when aroused. Before surgery on some occasions I was waking up with Morning Wood, and several occasions when I got spontaneous erections during the day for no apparent reason. I felt like I was 13 years old again trying to hide my boner in PE class.
There's also been a study that found Cialis may have some benefit for Peyronie's disease. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41443-022-00651-8
When I asked how long I should take the low dose Cialis he said to take it for the rest of my life.
