Pump position issue

Had a Dr follow up visit this morning.

Pretty much everything doing ok. I can inflate I can deflate. Some of size has returned, the Doc’s PA swears I’ve got a long ways to go before I quit seeing any increase. I was infrapubic and I had a hard spot...almost like a shelf of swelling.....where the incision was. That’s nearly gone.

Here’s the issue or problem: my pump is located in the left side of my nutsack. It has healed in a location not exactly where the surgeon intended and I’ve found it usable but not real convenient. The bulb rotated and I have to spend some time palpating to find the deflate valve when I’m ready to bring it back to flaccid.

To be a bit more specific, the pump rides too high, and the deflate button faces backwards. Can I get to it? Yes. Is it less than ideal? Yes.

Medical advice is to watch it for another 2-4 months and see if it eventually takes up residence in a slightly better position. Next advice was to slowly and gently pull and guide it from outside t see if it can be encouraged into a better location. If, after 6 months or so, I am finding it to be too big a paIn in the ass, the doctor is suggesting opening up the scrotum and Moving pump down to a better position. He swears this is surgery, but incredibly minor, and the recovery from this is nothing compared to the initial Implant (which truthfully wasn’t bad)

Good news was that me digging around and squeezing things until I found a deflate button is unlikely to result in any equipment damage.

Anybody else ever be plagued by this? Doc said it was uncommon but not unheard of, and pretty much a function of things migrating during the healing process.

Not infrapubic but mine is penoscrotal and my tubing had be attaching itself to the underside of my penis (the area around the urethral bulge). At times I think it'll strangle my urethra. Hasn't so far but my urine flow isn't quite as free as it was before surgery and I usually have to push out the last couple of ounces. That might be progression of healing of the UroLift but I feel it's related to my tubing.

You’ve come a long way my friend! I’m sure it will all be ok. Just remember only month and half post op. Anything can happen. It works, it’s hard and I would take that package and run to the bank. Put it to work and I bet you’ll get it all back. Hang in there man!
