Sorry, my last post was in response to oldbeek stating that he was inflated to 90% for 4 weeks at the beginning with no issues.

Wayne, my remark was a general one in reference to encapsulation fears.

In the case of implants, please explain pseudocapsule.

The human body forms a fibrous wall around foreign objects to protect the body. It sees the reservoir on the abdomen as a foreign body thus builds the protective wall. If the pseudocapsule has formed, the reservoir inside it can no longer expand beyond the wall around it. If it was empty when the wall formed, or will remain empty and cannot be filled again.

So that would explain Dr. Eid's thinking on activation ASAP! So, upon activation, the pseudocapsule will form around the reservoir since it is filled up more often then not. You can alternate between the two, but for the most part, esp. if you are working, having the cylinders deflated and reserve filled most of the time, will get the pseudocapsule form, thus leading to less problems down the road and no need for cycling (I think). Did I get this reasoning right?

It takes time to form and its unpredictable on when or how long it forms. It doesn't happen right away.

I think you also don't want the cylinders to be encapsulated when deflated.
I think cycling is important, not just leaving it either inflated or deflated.

yes, I think we all realize cycling is the thing, however, WHEN is the cycling supposed to start?
Dr. Eid starts the cycling in 2 or 3 days time, whereas everyone else, it seems, starts in 3 to 4 weeks.
