At least for me, not all of my sensitivity that leads to sexual gratification and release comes from the glans. A lot of the peripheral sensations from the skin of the penis, the groin and crus add into the equation. With the loss of some sensation in the skin and possibly further down the shaft, I firmly believe that I would be profoundly anorgasmic as opposed to having a degree of delayed ejaculation which is quite distressing in itself.

I have sensation in all the places you mentioned. I was simply saying guys I talked to said they lost SOME sensation. That said, for me the Glans and area immediately adjacent are my most sensitive so I would hate to lose those particular sensations.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Seriously. Talk to another surgeon. Guy sounds like a well honestly like what he is going to cut open.

Top ones do scrotal.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

This just needs another comment. Second type is infrapubic. Seriously run away very fast from that surgeon.

Reminds me of a couple I talked to. They had way to big of an ego. Look at the surgeries on youtube. Probably the least is the scrotal incision. My cut was about an inch. Everything was done from there.

I believe the scrotum and penoscrotal area are far more elastic than the abdominal skin and a plus with penoscrotal is that you don't have to cut into the abdominal wall in any way either. I agree that even though it's in a damp humid place at the bottom of your torso, it's the ideal surgical site from a number of points.

Guys- I am referring to the Tactra. Boston Scientific recommends the coronal approach- they have a video on how it is done. So if the manufacturer recommends a certain way lm going to listen. Also there is NO “DEGLOVING” installing a semi rigid.

Right and I've seen the video you're referring to. At least for me, the sides right below the corona (where they did the corporotomies), is the most sensitive, erogenous, non-glans portion of my penis. That could end my enjoyment of sexual stimulation, or at least lessen it considerably, for possibly a long time if not forever. Knowing what I have experienced with numbness of the skin of incisions I've had in the past, I wouldn't want the risk of loss off any sensation in that one area behind my corona. This is just MY experiences I'm speaking of, so maybe your not that prone to incision numbness or that part of your penis isn't as erogenously important to you as it is to me.

I had a subcoronal/degloving procedure for my implant. Lost a lot of sensitivity, and have difficulty in having an orgasm during normal sex....

But I also lost sensitivity after my original implant (which used the infrapubic approach)...
