Surgery
Re: Surgery
I kept myself busy right up until the date of surgery and didn't have time to "float" in my thoughts. I worked through the Friday before. Had many errands to run on Saturday and Sunday prior, then woke up very early on Monday for the surgery.
Keep yourself busy to eliminate idle thoughts and you won't be in a twilight mindset. Unless you enjoy the feeling and then more power to you, full speed ahead!

Re: Surgery
36.5 hrs til surgery report time
I haven’t got time to dwell on the what-ifs or even think about much except the logistics of getting to Austin, getting the damned thing put in, and keeping the household functional with wife and daughter in Louisiana, my mom down with the Christmas crud, and a very lively 8 month old border collie pup destroying the house while I do day surgery.
The OR nurse made me feel better when she said this would probably bother me less than the hernia surgery I did two weeks ago. I hope like hell she was telling the truth.
There’s a Krispy Kreme near the hospital going to in Austin, so I need to pick up a couple of dozen. Son is coming in later on in the day after my procedure and no, he doesn’t know his dad will have a bionic dick.
My wife and I came to grips with the really bad ED 25 years ago. Her words (not mine) is that it sucked that I was plumbed funny, but oh well. Yeah, I want to get back to my current dimensions and can wait a year of regular cycling to get there. But if not, I’ll trade a bit of size for a dick that works.
I’m not even going to waste time or energy worrying about infection, complication, or dissatisfaction. I am going to walk in the hospital, put on a damned gown, get this device installed that will finally let me have erections as close to normal as any other guy. I’m gonna come home with a drain and a catheter, and go back two days later to have them removed. I’ll tLw things slow but will resume living what passes for normal life and illl start using this appliance as soon as the doc says go.
This isn’t experimental, hope it works surgery. Lots of implants get put in every day. My case will be remarkable for nothing extraordinary happening.
And it all starts in just a few hours.

Re: Surgery
Magic, I could not agree more. 2 weeks for me. What was I thinking!
68 years old, Married 48 years. Prostate Cancer surgery 11 years ago. Tried Pills, VED, moved to injections (EdEx) for past 6 years. Implanted with AMS 700 LGX by Dr Hellstrom in New Orleans at Tulane Medical. 1/13/20
Re: Surgery
I would say, do not worry about it. Get to the docs that morning and feel that your life will be changing for the best.
I never had one minute of doubt. I got to hospital and they started iv antibiotics about 2 hours before surgery. Doc came in and I just said that I am literally in his hands. Do me good.
Pre ed, I had a great sex life. After ed none pretty much. Or it was full of turmoil.
Post implant with titan, we are happy. Not quite up to my pre ed 7, but just pumped up tonight and not horny at all I measured with a wood ruler at just over 6.5 inches. If I am horny my glans will engorge another .25 inches so I know I will be closer to 6.75 inches.
Either way I am happy. 2 years ago I was as t just over 5. Peyronies plaque and a curve, along with plaque and no hard on for a couple years cost me length.
Get the fin implant and do not worry about it. Deal with the consequences if they show up but if you picked a good doc those should be minimal.
If all goes good, you will be hard and straight and with time might get your pre ed length back.

Re: Surgery
Hey MagicMike,
You can do this, your 23 years younger than me & you have a full life ahead of you, (that many hours of sex to enjoy!!)
I just sent a fax to the heart doctor (to get Cardiac Clearance), I've been through 2 knee surgeries, one to repair ACL, neck surgery, RALP & now this.
I think of the new pain or discomfort, I say I can do this, & I want to mend & be able to use my new bionic dick.
I saw my son a few years ago go through knee surgery for ACL reconstruction. I would have done it for him, instead of seeing him go through the pain & anxiety, also worrying about him getting addicted to the pain meds.
When I had the RALP surgery at no time did I show any discomfort or pain in front of my children, my strength of seeing my father go through colon cancer treatments & dying, gave me the strength to go on & said to myself, I can do this, the worse would be to die of the cancer.
You got the best surgeon, your young & strong, please stay positive, I'll be cheering you on & waiting to hear on your recovery. Magic you can do this!!!

Re: Surgery
We are all different. I had no nerves leading up to my implant surgery. After 30 years of ED I was so eager to get it so I was focused on the end result. When you consider that your equipment has worked so poorly you made this decision, I looked at it like I had everything to gain and very little to lose.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
Re: Surgery
Magic I feel your concern. I’m scheduled for 1/15/2020. Already so nervous - yet cannot wait to get manhood back after 25 years of some sort of ED, Wishing you all the best.
78 year old, married 60 years with ED for last 21-until implant. Implanted 1/15/2020 with AMS 700 CX 18cm w 3RTE. Loving my new ability! Highly recommend!
