Mine points to about 2 o'clock. It's had a little "up" direction since the first day of surgery, but how much up depends partially on how much inflation I give it.
As another owner, not a doctor, I don't imagine that using it a little early would cause a problem with the direction it points. It's probably more about anatomy. We're all a little different. To me it seems like the cylinders, once fully inflated, are going to point in the direction they are set. They inflate and get nearly rigid and not much will keep them from being straight. I could hang weights from this thing and it wouldn't move.
Try the technique I discussed in that other thread of continuing to add inflation over time. It might help.
Glad you're not having any pain. My most lasting pain was from the continuing pinch to the scrotal skin from trying to force more fluid into the cylinders. But even that went away before too long.
