I’m a new member, glad to have found this forum. I had a radical prostatectomy 4/14/17 and have been cancer free for two years. I had experienced ED before I had prostate cancer. I tried Viagra, Cialis Daily, with no success. My internist prescribed 100 mg Viagra after my operation, but it had no effect. I’m also on Prozac daily, which I’ve heard is a huge ED causer. I'm also on Xaralto for clots.
At my last checkup earlier this month I asked to try the trimix injections. I received a small vial of trimix last week and took it to the appointment this week. I am overweight to the point of not being able to see my penis.

The Dr. did the first injection with me seated on the exam table. I could feel every millimeter of that needle going in and it hurt, followed by a burning sensation. I had kept the trimix in the freezer for a week and the temperature could have contributed to the burning (vial now kept in the refrigerator).
I am amazed at the number of members reporting no pain with injecting. My needle wrapper says it’s .3 x 13 mm. The needle measures a little over an inch long and all of it must go in. The first dose of .30 had little to no effect. Dr. advised trying .40 the next time and keep increasing until satisfied with the erection.
Questions:
1. Is it worth trying an autoinjector and is there a brand you recommend?
2. Are there thinner and shorter needles?
3. Based on what I’ve written, do you have any suggestions?
Many thanks for your help,
HardTimes (I hope someday)
