Penile MRI

Postby Ruktitan » Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:06 pm

Been a long time since I was on here as trying to just get on with life. But recently had an MRI as I have been complaining of the horrible pump position and still short cylinders since my revision.
Not had the results from the MRI but just wondering if anyone else has had a mri after implant and what does it show.
My issue is that the cylinders will look like they are at the tips on an mri. But when the penis is stretched there is easily another 1-2cm before the glans head..
29 years old. Suffered with ED since 17. No known cause. First Implanted date 23/3/2018. Cylinders way too short and revised by different surgeon 2019. 22cm titan.
Cylinders still short and now pump is upside down and protruding. Awaiting 3rd revision

The first time I had an MRI after getting an implant, the questionnaire that I was given to fill out before the procedure had a section that said, "Do you have any of the following?" and on that list was "penile implant." I checked yes, and they took me to a private area. I showed them the implant card that I carry in my wallet, and they made a copy of it. And they also told me that they knew there was no metal in the implant; they just had to ask (not sure why). Never was a problem (or for a CAT scan either).

Yeah i was more wondering if anyone had a penile specific mri. To see the implant only. I was told to inflate it and then put this frame over to keep it secure while they took the images.

[I remember years ago having an ultrasound of my testicles (I can't remember the reason). I dropped my pants and underwear and lay down on my back on a table. They gave me a small towel to put over my penis, which I didn't really see the reason for since they had already seen my entire crotch -- but I found out the reason later.

They then rubbed the lubed ultrasound device round and round on the underside of the scrotum. Then I knew why they had given me a towel for placing over my penis: As I am sure is true for many other guys as well, the lubed-up repeated rubbing of the underside of my scrotum was stimulating and my penis began to respond. Yikes!] :o

Ruktitan are you saying that you got the MRI to check if your implant was sized correctly?

Yes supposedly to check everything is in the right place before arranging a 3rd revision. I complained my pump is upside down. And cylinders are short still.

That is insane. Can't they just feel the cylinders? Do you have a pic showing how far they go into the glans?

Youre on the NHS right?

Pictures to show cylinder tips. They feel like they are below the glans. However the slightest stretch and they are like an inch away from the tip. When the glans geta engorged it gets that big and then it has no support whatsoever and folds rights over. I have also put a photo to show the horrible pump placement. The tubing is so long that it goes underneath and forces the pump upside down and sticking out. I cant even pull on it or move it as its stuck there!

Ruktitan:

it's disheartening to see what is happening to you. I tried reaching out but you didn't felt like talking back. No offense taken. "Alibaba" has had a penile MRI done, and you can run a search on the board for the post. Maybe it's hard to find. I am going to forward you two links:

one has a thread where Alibaba shared his CT scan, showing his implant and reservour. The other, has a link to an excelent surgeon in the UK that you should see at all cost to help you out sort your situation. You are in desperate need of a revision, there is absolutely no question about that. Please stay strong throughout this. You should also consider using a vacuum pump after you inflate your penis to the max to help keep your stretched size, so the tissue doesn't atrophy!

That pump does stick out quite a bit. How they can do the procedure without any thought to appearance is beyond me!

Have you tried to have sex at all with it?

What are the NHS saying now?
