That is what I am talking about. If I have to fly my ass all the way to Baltimore you would think he could get the damn pump right. Just goes to show you, they all make mistakes. You found a great local doctor. There are plenty of them out there and you can get there in a car.

I just got back from Baltimore for post op and activation. Everything was in the proper position and working as it should. I understand the jealousy of be restricted to in state doctors and not being able to go to one of the top 5 (none in Ga). I worked for 35 years in metro Atlanta but made the choice to go to Baltimore for my surgery. Best choice I ever made. After interviewing some of the mentioned doctors, there was no way I was letting them work on my stuff. Good Luck

I think you missed the point.

To answer your question about the pump, for me, I would say that the pump is the most uncomfortable part of the new me...
Big hard, foreign thing in my smallish sac. But I think my sac is slowly accommodating the new customer... ;)

Stiches still not yet dissolved, so there's some prickly pain from stitches.
Occasional sharp, shooting pain, mostly in shaft or head. But these sharp pains are diminishing.
Still not activated... the doctor said 6-7 weeks, so I guess I have a couple weeks to go.
Personally, I don't think that I'm quite ready for activation yet (physically).
Hopefully soon!

Do you have an activation date, or have you already arrived?

Cheers,
Expo

Expo, I'm in agreement with you about activation. I think my doctor was right on when he scheduled me for 6 weeks for activation, as I feel I'll be plenty healed by then. And it is amazing, it's like all of a sudden my sack has accepted the new occupant. Today, no discomfort either. I'm not even thinking about it. You're right behind me. :D

Ed, I have to tell you I am getting activate tomorrow at 2 weeks 3 days. As sore as I am, I am not looking forward to it at all. Everyone has their way of doing things. Doctor did say that I had a lot of scaring and that early activation would help break it up. Still cant use it till the 6 week mark

This is what the AMS Operating Room Manual say about pump position.

"After the Patient is Released from
the Hospital
The patient is usually discharged in twelve to
twenty-four hours.
After the patient has returned home and the swelling
from the surgery has subsided, the physician may ask the
patient to pull down on the pump located in the scrotum
to properly position it. Positioning the pump makes it
easier for the patient to locate the pump.
The frequency of positioning the pump is up to the
physician. Some physicians have their patients position
the pump daily.
To position the pump in the scrotum, a patient should be
told to:
• Locate the pump in the scrotum.
• Grasp the pump firmly and carefully pull the pump
down in the scrotum. The patient should gently pull
the pump into a position close to the outer scrotal
wall."

Tybee, you're right. All these doctors have their methods. I'll just roll with what he says. Quite honestly, I'm tired of playing doctor. I have been self diagnosing my ED for 8 years. Trying everything to fix it. You can't imagine the money I have spent. Or you probably could.

Tybee,
Makes sense for early activation due to scarring. Will likely be sore. Take a pain pill before you go. My surgeon like Ed's scheduled my activation for 6-7 weeks. I was feeling good & had very limited pain so I took it on myself to start pumping at 3.5 weeks. I been pumping daily & leaving it hard 45 minutes a day until slight pain. I am already seeing an increase length & girth. Plus activation was today with the Dr & it was a breeze ! In the long run you ll be better for it.

Bandit, fellow LGX brother. Did it grow considerably when you pumped it up? I have about the same setup as you. I'm tempted to pump, but I'm going to wait. For once I'm going to listen to doctors instructions.
