Implants also bring JOY in Sydney, Australia.....

Postby robnine » Thu Jul 02, 2015 3:22 am

My History and Implant Story

( This is "Day 7".... I was implanted at about 9am 24 July 2015 at St Vincent's Private Hospital, Sydney SVPH.)

It's a bit long, (this post, that is).....and some stuffnot strictly on-topic, but I'm feeling very happy with my prospects for the next 10 years or so...A real man again....With all that means.....

I'm now 64, retired, and always, from 5 years of age 100% gay, though have dabbled on the other side a couple of times. I eat healthy food and do weights at gym 5 or 6 days a week. I could pass for 50, so my friends have said...

My natural cock length in my early 20's was a shade over 7 inches bone pressed

I discovered jelking in my 20's from a book that's still around in the sex/ fetish shops and got my first extra 3/8" over a few months in the late 70's, but didn't keep on with it. DAMN !!!

But 7.5 inches bone pressed x 5.5 inches around is way ahead of most white guys, but I have always been fascinated by big hung men, speedos, bulging 501's and all, and discovered penis enlargement forums such as PE Forum, and Thunder's Place very early in their history on the internet. Around 2000-2001.

Six months of jelking and vacuum pumping in 2001 got me a dick of 9.25" bone pressed length X 5.5" under the head, 6" mid shaft and 7+ at the base. I also hung weights using a Bib hanger, but could not seem to grow in length beyond the above excepting the increase in thickness at mid shaft and base. It was the hanging that gave me the girth.

I have a reputation that I do not ever try to hide in jeans, speedos, gym shorts. I will not be uncomfortable or sweaty, and I don't care who sees it.

Over the intervening years since 2001, I've done some stretching, jelking and pumping to keep my size.

I don't think there was any loss of erectile function during the time of active penis enlargement but from those years on, slowly I lost the ability firstly to keep an erection, and more recently to get a useable erection at all, without injections.

Men like that used to become alcoholics or shot themselves....

But Viagra restored me, and then Cialis. Levitra was not much good for me. And as all of those started to wane in effectiveness, I found a GP/ Men's Sexual Health Specialist here in Sydney Dr Michael Lowy. Lovely, helpful man; a lot of men and marriages and sanity have been saved by him and his calling. From Michael I learned to inject his trimixes and quadmixes, around 2006.

Fast forward nearly 10 years to now, and all of Michael's mixes now are needing very large amounts to get me hard, and I'm allergic to Prostaglandin (pain), and it's costing me a fortune.
A painful erection is no fun....

A year or two ago at one of my visits Michael had a demonstration set of AMS penile implant tubes and the bulb and pump on his table, and he showed it all to me.... I was fairly horrified, and it all looked awfully flimsy too.... "I'll become Mother Theresa if your mixes stop working" was my reaction...

Wind a year or so forward to the last few weeks, and I'm doing internet research and make my decision.

My AMS LGX 700 21 cm tubes and all were fitted here in Sydney on 24 July 2015. My own urologist, Dr Y did the operation, assisted on the day by senior urologist Dr S.

During the initial consultation, I told Dr Y that I have a penis over 9 inches in length, and while a lot of men might over-estimate I had photographic evidence to prove (not with me), and he assures me he will measure and fit appropriately . (He points out also its important not to make it all too long in order to avoid internal erosion of the glans.) Of course I say, we need a safely working penis as first priority or some such, and I respect his judgement. I also say that you must be fitting 19- 21 cm tubes to guys with "regular issue 6 inch shafts" since a third of it will be inside, and he agrees.

The truth is that I had lost some erect length, especially over the past year or so due to my penis not fully engorging towards the tip. But I've been a regular 8.75 inches or more, bone pressed.

I read up a couple of medical papers readily available through Google on minimising size loss, and for the three weeks before the operation re-instituted daily 10 minute stretches, jelking and pumping as per recommendations.

The other recommendation is an exhortation to surgeons to fit the longest tubes and rear tube extenders (RTEs) as possible to avoid floppy head syndrome.

After pumping each time I jelked again, and was able to regain erect length of 9.25 inches, but ONLY after pumping, not say next time on injection instigated erection . (I was using the pump to get my erections, and holding the erection in place with a cock ring or three). Also, my flaccid stretched length next day was very reluctant to get to 9.25 inches, where in PE days it used to be near 10 inches, and that's what I was shooting for. If pumping injected, I put the needle in near the base of my shaft where my penis completely fills my 2.25 inch diameter x 12 inch long home made vacuum tube ( ever hopeful !!) so that the vacuum would not form a blood blister....

On the day of the operation I did gentle stretches just before going to admission.

Everything at the hospital pre-op was fine. (This and it's compatriot Public Hospital are just great, as good as any in the major world capitals..)

On the morning after the operation, the Dr comes in and says it was all straight forward, no complications, not much fibrosis, regular sized tubes etc and there is a female nurse with him, and I get embarrassed speaking about my penis size, and instead I ask him what size tubes and RTE's he used. "Just 21 cm extendable tubes"... I say "No RTE's" and he says "No, pretty standard 21 cm tubes".... I think to myself, "This is a penis that people have referred to as an extra person in the room, and that some men have said 'Hello' and 'Goodbye' to in the (swimming shorts / speedos compulsory) mixed gender steam rooms at one of the gyms I used to go to. This is not a "pretty standard" example of soon to be rampant manhood..... But then I think, everyone measures differently, the tubes can only go to mid point of the glans to leave a cushioned covering, and my shaft clearly has done some shortening....

So... If I sum up how I felt at that point...."We'll just have to see what the effect of the 20 % extra elongation from the LGX tubes has.... Maybe it will be OK, and a true 8 inch penis, with erection on demand on an Anglo- Aussie is better than a Rolls Royce, and I only drive a Golf." .........

Post -Op the Dr's had left me 80% erect and with catheter in place for the first 24 hours, and it was pretty uncomfortable. In Australia they won't thrown you straight out after recovery because you do need a catheter and drain; they keep you in at least one, if not 2 nights which was the case with me.

On my pain management cycle I was "empty"as the 6 hours were up, and I had just had 2 oral Endone 5 mins before Dr came in, but he tried to deflate me, and did somewhat, and it was very painful in my scrotum, and especially when he bent my dick to get the saline out. He couldn't do it, so I researched again on the internet and learned to deflate it myself. All good; he knew he would hurt me if he pressed hard enough.

I had absolutely no bruising anywhere or fluid build up in my scrotum, but did have a very impressive 6 inch x 6 inch around semi-rigid "flaccid" at that time and up until yesterday, and over the days in the hospital I strangely got more and more horny... I thought the device was auto-inflating, and hence my reason to rapidly learn deflation and "roll up and squeeze". It seemed that all of the trauma to my penis was giving me erectile power I certainly didn't know I still had, especially with the cavernosa taken out and replaced by plastic water balloons. I must ask the Dr about that..... I only had to move and it would get more erect.... Weird.

I was monitored throughout by ECG machine, and every couple of hours for temperature and blood pressure, and had a lot of intravenous antibiotics, right up until I was discharged to the care of friends on the Friday afternoon. Since there is a likelihood of infection, it's only right to be looked after like this, IMHO.

Anyway, it's all gone well, and now at day 7 I've been off the strong pain killers for 2 days and just need paracetamol/ ibuprofen mix to stave off a dull ache.

The incision is very neatly across my lower abdomen, and he put the pump on my left side since I'm left handed.

For the first few days it was very uncomfortable to wear underpants, BUT even worse without them due to the erection thing that was happening. My recommendation is definitely not to (possibly ever contemplate again) bikini brief underwear, and also not cotton floppy boxers either. You need boxer briefs with decently generous pouch and a decent amount of stretchy material for support keep your penis where you find it most comfortable. And try to find some without a seam right down the front. You are never going to have a soft, compliant flaccid again, always some rigidity and the stitches dig into it.

I'm glad my Dr does not incise and operated through the scrotal skin. My penis was not bandaged at all, and pubic hair will grow over the 2.5 inch scar just above my dick.

I hate ever wearing my dick straight down, I am 6 inches flaccid and it feels sweaty and pushes against my balls. Thankfully by yesterday I could bend it sideways or 45 degrees for comfort, and am cycling it left and right especially during this healing period. But as it will never again be fully flaccid, and I was getting some looks yesterday out in average tightness corduroy trousers against Sydney's bitter winter (˜9 C min, 19C max) ( Just under 50 F to about 67F).... Bitter...

I'm to see the Dr next Friday, but, using the logic that since it's OK for them to leave you erect off the operating theatre table for 24 hours, and the only thing that's stopping you pumping it is pain, and my pain has nearly all gone, I erected it this morning ( Day 7) .... And had a gentle, long wank, watching some visually exciting videos (!!)... The aspect of men needing to blow a load every few days is never considered.... It felt only a little sore, all good feelings retained. And my nipples still are still "attached to my dick"...I thought that might be "lost".

I have read here to expect the pump bulb to be really hard to compress, and it is. Down the track a bit, if trying to get an erection "in company" without drawing attention to mechanical devices, it will really have to free up a lot. I guess that's part of the daily cycling, to get adept with it all... I think I pumped it all the way this morning....How do you know ? The bulb was so hard at that point it could not be pumped again, and since scrotal skin is involved there is a limit to "how many hard squeezes" one can make.

BUT, I have to report that if it was fully inflated, I have lost about 0.5 inch girth. (Length is moore complex.)

Girth is now 5" around under the head, and 5.5" mid shaft, and 6" at base. The head was not erect, despite being so for days and days in hospital. "(I see Mr Dick still has a pernickety mind of his own)..... And the head was definitely kinda floppier than I 'd like, though I can feel the tubes rigidly hitting whatever bone that is at the very base...My backbone? At the glans end, they also seem extend well up into the spongy flesh we love.... But not (at least yet) be structurally rigid as before.....

So maybe it's Cialis to make the corpora spongeosum harder ?

And I measured my bone pressed penile + flaccid glans length at 21.5 cm, about 8.5 inches. HURRAH !!! No visible loss of length.

I also roughly measured underneath, the total length of the the erected tubes at 21 cm...

Where are those pesky 4.2 cm representing the 20 % stretch of 21 cm as promised by LGX ?

"Looking for 4.2 cm more to partly fix my floppy knob"...

(And get me to near 9 inches)...

I think guys report that lost girth returns.

All good.

To be continued....

Great journey, will be following closely. Seems like you're recovering pretty fast

It's crazy how different the bodies are. I have a 24cm implant and am in the 6.5-6.75 inch area 7 days post op. Your implant is 3cm smaller and you're way bigger.

Your erect length is bigger than your implant, how is that possible? A few cm go inside your body, so your size should be usually {implant size - 2 to 6 cm that go inside your body}.

Thanks for understanding my situation, pockie.... I'm not understanding what the ruler says either....

Pumped up, I can feel the ends of the tubes pretty well exactly half way up (or down) my glans on the top side, exactly where I reckon they should be.....

Now at Day 11 I can report that there has been a bit of generalised discomfort yesterday and I took two lots of ibuprufen/ paracetamol. It's now 10.30 in the morning Saturday, Day 11, and I can just feel it all....

I was worried I had done "too much too soon"but I think all is OK.

Becuase of the more rigid flaccid, the ends of the tubes are always pressing a bit into the glans, and I guess it has to "man up" a lot during this time of convalescence......

Now Day 13, and I haven't pumped it for several days as it's been feeling tender in bed at night, and I'm wanting that to heal. I have tried wearing stretchy boxer briefs that hold it down and bent it all night to keep it flaccid as possible, and I hate this, but also I've just gone to bed in loose cotton pj's and in that case I get an automtic semi-erection, and every time I move slightly the head brushes against something and I get aroused....And lieing on my side seems to exascerbate the erection by squashing the implant where it sits between my legs, and/or makes the pump site ache.

Seems the blood might be pooling around the implant, giving me these sensations....And that's what was happening in hospital. Ill have to ask more.

But by day I'm carrying on near normal life, with lots of walking, reaching, bending down to clean the kitchen floor, etc, though do get tired more easily and need a longer afternoon nap. Sitting is now only slightly problematical, but I need to watch TV from the bed in the spare room at night rather than sitting for a couple hours on the sofa.

I'm scheduled to see Dr Y on Friday, Day 17, so I might let him pump it up....But more likely will try again myself this week....
Went to Ikea today to buy LED globes, a bit zombie like still, but Ikea does that to me normally.
Was first time I have driven.

Now Monday Jul 13, Day 20,

I saw my uro specialist surgeon Dr Yuen last Friday. During the consultation, we were meant to pump it as much as possible, and we did, but could only about 4 depressions of the bulb due to scrotal internal tenderness, and my lack of dexterity.

Those bulbs have a mean surface texture, reminiscent of a coarse file, and are so, so difficult to depress until you find the right spot. I don't think another human can do it for you, except under anaesthetic, though I'm sure some partners have been trained....

Everything is progressing well. I brought up my worries about the loose glans, and answered my own question by attributing this to the fact that neither Yuen nor myself had managed to erect it to sufficient pressure for the length of the implant to increase, probably at all.

I asked Yuen about how best to wear my penis in my trousers, and how best to do " the squeeze thing" at the end of the deflation. Definitely not to wear my dick to the side; it must be as vertical as possible to avoid the sharp bend on the inner side creasing the implant wall, And I had been kinda ( very gently) rolling it up to deflate, since I have had some priapisms in the past, and that is a good way to get the blood out, once detumescence has started. But you just grab and squeeze, and I have refined that to applying the fingers "as parallel" as possible and keep it all in the same plane. All to avoid damage to the implant walls....

I am to do daily trial erections just for a few minutes first once a day, and then twice a day.

Saturday and Sunday I did this, all the time getting better at manipulating the bulb between a steadying hand, and a pumping hand.

This morning Day 20, I woke up at about 5.30 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went very gently bulb searching and pressing. I am left handed, and Dr Yuen put the bulb in the left side of my scrotum. I'm not very dextrous....I have moved the bulb to many different positions, and tried many differing steadying and pumping hand// finger/ thumb combinations.

I was able to do about 18 pumps, with some pain, some rests and some changes of position, and it was by far the most satisfying erection so far. Latest technique is that I move it down to the left as far as possible, and the first two fingers and thumb of the right hand steadies, left hand pumps....

You do have to apply what seems like enormous pressure to that very tender scrotal skin....

Despite all this extra liquid, I' was not longer than before, still about 8.5, bone pressed, but whole top quarter is less floppy and the shaft below the head is more solid feeling. I could feel the bases of the implants pushing down solidly too. A little discomfort, but I kept it going for 10 mins or so. No more girth though, girth as previously reported.

Much better.

I've been trying differing types of underwear, and today's trial is a very loose cotton short, "grandpa undies", which lets it go where it wants, mostly down and slightly to the right. Yes,it is visible in my winter corduroy jeans when I walk, but far more comfortable than the alternatives I discussed before. Shame, cos I've got lots of boxer briefs, shaped pouch boxer briefs etc. Guess al of this is a bit of a moving target, as daily it all these new bits feel more a part of me. Not sure how I'll go in the gym ( 10 more days to wait for that). I haven't tried a jock strap. Constriction, I hate it.

In that time my low abdomen scar will be near invisible, and a bit more hair will cover it...

So I'll be able to hit the sauna without being the odd one out wearing speedos...

Speedos ? Must see how that feels and looks with dick straight down....

Now nearly 5 weeks... . . .

First "real" test on Saturday just gone... . . . Absolutely brilliant.... I topped my Thai FB for sessions, both near half an hour each... . . . Just marvellous to be free of worry and totally "in the moment". He was delighted.... . . .

Still experimenting with underwear and different jeans, trousers, etc.

Best is still the loose cotton boxers, as the smallest my flaccid gets is 6.5", and its still got rigidity.

With any other underwear it is bent, and I can feel a crease in the wall of the implant. Not exactly painful, but I know that will weaken the wall of the implant.

Even with generously cut trousers, I can see it outlined when I'm walking, but that's how it will have to be.

But over these weeks I have lost girth. Now 4.5 inches aroound, just below the head, and 5 mid shaft. These are a full inch down on pre-implant.. . . . No great problem, but one wonders why the implants have to be so small in diameter... . . .

Does anyone vaccum pump for girth post implant ? Be great to hear statistics and caveats... . . . Sorry, I will search the forums again... . . .

Great news about the "real" test; so nice to be totally immersed in the pleasure with no worries about your penis being unreliable.

How are things going these days?

Cumming up to 2 years now, and it's just been totally great. . . . . . .

No-one has freaked when I have told them I am "bionic", and I can outlast anyone, and have even power bottoms telling me they need a rest. . . . . . . And some of these bottom guys are amazing in what they can take. . . . . . .

Wearing stretchy boxer briefs to contain it in my pants, but if they are a bit too stretchy it can fall down my leg, and a six inch flaccid will make grown men have a heart attack when they see it in the street. . . . . . . And you do feel very tacky. . . . . . . But, That's my only concern. . . . . . . Oh, and Aussie Bum swimmers at the beach as a bit out of the question. . . ..

I would really like to meet other gay guys in Sydney to "compare notes". . . . . . .

I know it isn't a dating site, but in comparing notes, we could make marvellous music together. . . ..
