My second implant - hard to call it a revision....

..........I was implanted with a Titan on April 24, 2013 in Broward County Florida. I cried in pain all of the 2 mile ride home. The pain and swelling was tremendous and lasted months. My flaccid dick took a "sharp left turn (9 0'clock) about an inch out from my lower belly. It was difficult to pump up. It took me a couple of months to find the release valves due to swelling and the misplacement of the pump. When inflated, it pointed to about "10:30". I was able to have sex and after about 3 months was able to orgasm. By December the release valves were extremely difficult to access and by Feb. totally inaccessible. My doctor here would say 'I told you it was going to hurt' and 'we can fix this with another surgery.

In Feb. I was in Nashville (on other business) where I had a consultation with another specialist. He told me 'I never saw one turn out like this' and 'they're not supposed to turn out like this'. He asked me several times if I had Peronies before the implant (no). He then said 'I can fix this for you but seeing where you live, you should go to Dr. Paul Perito in Miami'. I did!

On Friday, April 25, 2014 Dr. Perito performed surgery on me at Coral Gables Hospital. EVERYTHING was different! Everything was replaced. He installed a much smaller Titan with a smaller bulb and smaller release valves. He got the "balloons" in BOTH sides of my dick (duh)! My dick was TOTALLY straight after the surgery. He kept me in the hospital with a drain for one very uncomfortable, quite painful night. I think the drain might have been the secret to the swelling. When I was being released the next day I asked about pain meds, expecting Oxy (after last year I saw why it is so abused), but the nurse said 'just use Tylenol 650'. I thought 'this guy's got confidence!' The previous year I had 2 rounds of Oxy, one scrip of Hydrocodone and then 2 months or so of Tramadol. On the 32 mile ride home I had no pain and was singing along with the radio. In the following days I had very little pain and very little swelling. On my second follow-up, 11 days after surgery, Dr. Perito had me pump up and deflate twice in the office and then said 'do this 3 times a day, do hot-hot shower directly on the penis and testicles followed by ice pack 3 times a day' and see me in two weeks'.

Due to scar tissue, my flaccid dick still "wants" to bend to the left. I can easily move it to the right and do this several (many) times a day. Erect I bent very slightly to the left. Dr. Perito showed me how to "model" it and after a couple of weeks, it's straight again. He also said 'try NOT to be a "very interesting case"....

I had sex 17 days after implant with little to no pain. Have not had orgasms yet but expect to soon (it took 3 months or more last year).

I cannot over-compliment Dr. Perito and his staff. If I had used him before I would be several thousand dollars and several months of pain to the good! THANK YOU DR. PERITO!

Yes, I'd agree the high volume guys seem better. Perito, Eid, and Kramer are the highest 3 volume guys in the world, they seem to also produce the highest numbers of positive results. Just an observation- I'm sure like anything, if you do it a lot you get better at it. They all seem pretty nice too.

Yes, I'd agree the high volume guys seem better. Perito, Eid, and Kramer are the highest 3 volume guys in the world, they seem to also produce the highest numbers of positive results. Just an observation- I'm sure like anything, if you do it a lot you get better at it. They all seem pretty nice too.

Curious where one might find the statistics on top surgeon for IPPs. I just wonder where Allen Morey and Douglas Milam would place on the list in numbers and satisfaction.

Paul Perito as well as Douglas Milam perform by infrapubic approach. Very special, isn't it?
Here in Germany the only guy they know is Steven Karl Wilson, who's already 73 years old and still teaching our surgeons.

The "high volume" guys aren't necessarily the best. I've had two bad experiences with 2 of the three mentioned. In the first surgery, the cylinders were too long and started eroding the skin in the tip of my penis and the second surgery the cylinders and pump (OTR) was replaced with an old "Genesis" that hurts like hell to deflate. 6 months out I'm still in pain and now need a 3rd surgery to correct the others screw-ups. This time i'm going with a lower volume guy with a great reputation repairing the other High volume guys botched surgeries. He want to take everything out and start fresh. I have the Coloplast Titan.

Who has worked on you and who are you going to see now?

But that's what the forum is all about, isn't it? It's the very purpose of the forum to reveal experiences as well as surgical results. If, for example, SK Wilson was the one to implant you some too long cylinder, I can tell you I experienced the same misfortune. And well, this information might prevent others from running similar tragedies... at least.

High volume can be a great advantage, if it's paired with high quality conscience. So every operation with thorough concentration, as if it were the very first one. The problem arises when a high volume guy starts being sloppy, careless and lightheaded. I guess it's the case with Prof. wilson wo's travelling abroad and performing surgery at the age of 73.
Lower volume guys with excellent outcome are - AFAIK - Robert Cornell and Arthur Burnett.
The best thing for potential patients would be to have access to informatuion about the volume as well as the percentage of perfect results, from a patient's perspective. So one could estimate the probability of being satisfied thereafter. But those informations are not available. Therefore this forum is still one of the best information sources.

Well Panhead, I thought you did name the guys right here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3863&p=25523#p25523 And you've named them elsewhere. And you have bashed them pretty strongly in some of your comments in other threads. If you're not intending to bash them maybe consider editing some of your previous posts? Otherwise why be shy now?
