the pumps comfort?

Postby billylee » Sat Nov 02, 2013 9:27 am

I know the pump must offer some discomfort in day to day work/activity for a few weeks. Does it go away? Not sure about all 68 yo males but my "sack" draws up kind of tight sometimes...what happens then? Does the pump draw up inside you as your testicles do? Perhaps I have a physical impairment that my sack does not hang all the time, not sure. If the pump was needed would this not be a problem or do you just grasp it and pull down on it/sack? I have read that even bicycle riders go about their riding with pump so assuming there is not a particular activity that is volated with pump. Comments please?

I am at Week 14 after surgery and as far as I can tell everything has settled, swelling gone etc.

Perhaps I am lucky but I have to admit I do not even know the pump is there. When I'm warm everything hangs and it's no problem at all. When it's cold my scrotum draws in and still don't know the pump is there.

The only time I notice is if I am cold and trying to deflate and I have to dig a bit to find the deflate button.

I was implanted one year ago. Once in awhile I get complaints from my testicles that the pump is pressing against them. When that happens I just modify my sitting position a little and then no more complaints. This has been happening less often as time goes by. For me it is a very small price to pay for having good sex available any time I want it.
I have to wear glasses to see well enough and they are a bit of a nuisance at times but they get the job done. The pump is in the same class.

i have alittle problem when deflating as it hurts to press and it slips out of my grasp occasionaly; my problem is the pump only works for about three presses. I become erect enough for penetration but not really hard. a few days back I was able to pump 12 times and could feel the fluid going to the penis. Any one else have this problem I have a otr coloplast system installed 10 28 13

The more you use it the easier it gets. Mine still gets to a point where the bulb gets too hard and will not go anymore, even though I know there is still more ability for the shaft to get just a little harder. I get to somewhere around 40 pumps or so before that happens, but you mileage may very depending on how much fluid you move on each pump. I probably do not do a complete squeeze on every pump. Not sure what causes the resistance in the pump at that point. More pressure required to force that last 10 percent into the shaft??

12 weeks past beginning of new life. AMS pump is a little hard to work some time, but what goes up always comes down eventually.-

Billy Lee,
Where the Doctor puts it probably makes a difference. While in my case, the doctor put in the wrong size cylinder. I am happy with the placement of the pump. It's inconspicuous and no discomfort.
I'm going to have another surgery to correct the first surgery and I'm hoping that the current pump does not have to be replaced.
Titan Touch installed 12/20/13, Then redone 03/21/14, Then redone again 06/13/14.
