Sex six weeks after penoscrotal surgery?

Postby LetoMan » Sat Apr 13, 2024 12:29 am

Hello gents,

I can’t tell you all how beneficial this forum has been to me! I’m a 49 year old lifelong ED sufferer, probably a venous leak. Pills worked a bit (but hated the side effects), relaxation techniques worked a bit, but nothing was ever really satisfactory.

So now I am getting an implant on May 2nd! Will be an AMS implanted by Dr. Aaronson here in San Francisco. He’s a regular implanter (12-15 a year, for 10 years), but not one of the specialists.

To be honest I feel like I get to be a teenager after this - and not “again” but for the first time. There was never a time when I wasn’t worried about my erection, even when I had one, usually from pills. So despite a very high libido, my confidence was never there. I managed to make a decent sex life for myself, perhaps compensating by being more generous, but I can’t tell you how exciting a stress and side-effect free session of banging on demand seems to me right now. I split with my wife last year, and have been holding off on connecting with anyone until after I get this sorted out.

Which leads me to my main question: Six weeks after my surgery (penoscrotal) I have a trip scheduled where I can probably get lucky if I want to. And boy do I want to. But do you think I’ll be ready recovery-wise? And if I do get lucky, what might go wrong that early?

I plan on taking the approach of not telling women I date that I have an implant before we get busy, but being open and honest about it if the topic ever comes up. But I’m not really worried about that, just about the physical aspect. Could I still be swollen or hurting? What could go wrong? Any tips getting ready for such an early test, and with someone I am not in a relationship with?

Thanks!
Born 1974. Venous leak ED my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects and they worked less and less as I got older. Scheduled for AMS implant on 5/2/24. Grateful for the bionic brotherhood here that helped me make this decision.

Hi brother.

I am implanted with an AMS LGX 3 days ago. No swelling or bruising. Semi-inflated at the moment. I have the feeling I could inflate to full now and have sex, but that is not a good idea I think
Looks totally natural. But the pump in the sack feels artificial.
You will be happy with an implant.

Offtopic. Is it allowed to masturbate just the glance and get an orgasm just 3 days after operation?

Of course I asked my doctor. He said “we’ll have to wait and see”! As doctors do.

I’m asking here because I’m trying to get a sense from those that have gone before whether teeing up an interaction so soon afterwards makes sense… I’m not looking for a medical opinion. Just some advice.

My doc does hundreds of implants a year and I don't want to spam him with small questions.
If there are serious warning signs like infection I will ask him immediately.
But for the small Q's I come over to FT to ask the brothers.

P.s. this post was not ment to offend you, Thanx anyway brother.

As I remember it. My first sex was at around 6 1/2 weeks with my wife. While it was uneventful, no pain that I remember of. I don't think I finished. But the act didn't last very long either. I didn't want to press my luck. Wife did orgasm. So I called it a success. First true intercourse in a few years. It lead to no regrets.

Btw, part of it was caution. My dr had warned me to go easy on my wife. It had been a long time for her & his caution was that if she was to get rode too hard. There was a chance that she might decide that sex wasn't worth the sore pussy.

Take what you want from that. My wife had a total hysterectomy & had stopped hormone replacement. That warning might not apply to a pre menopausal woman. Factor all of that into your decision.

Congratulations on taking the plunge! We wish you the best in your recovery!

i was cleared at 6 weeks, but didn’t have sex until 10 weeks. It was then twice daily (sometimes 1) for three weeks. I had numbness in the scrotum and lower shaft that was very noticeable. Could only orgasm about 50% of the time. My glans was tender after full inflation also. More than about :30 minutes and it started to hurt.

But….i was so glad to simply be having sex again! Reliably, on demand. That alone was worth price of admission. I hadn’t told my girlfriend prior. At first i’d discretely pump up in the bathroom. But….everytime???? She knew something was up, so i told her. Oh man. I feared her reaction but she was both fascinated and excited by it. These days, she does initial pumping duties.

Back to you though. You’re likely to be just fine having 6 weeks. Doctor will give you the thumbs up. I’ve related to you my sensitivity issues then but your mileage may well vary. You may return fully in the saddle and ready to ride. For me it was kind of leaping lilly pad to lilly pad of increasing improvements.
