Ball bag swollen advice?

Postby Hillywilly » Thu Sep 21, 2023 6:47 am

So I’m about 6 months post op and everything has been going great however last night o noticed a bit of pain in my scrotum long story short over the past 8 hours it has become more and more swollen accompanied by a 5/10 pain level. Any idea what this could be?

OMG Dude.
Get medical help now!
Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.

Yes…. If you were doing great, and this is a new problem, meaning swollen and painful, you need to call your surgeon immediately… Possible signs of infection or that some thing has a broken and causing pain. Don’t hesitate!

Hillywilly, I'm not offering medical advice. Only what I'd do if I was you & some speculation on whats up.
Asap, seek medical care. Might be nothing but I've read that infection after surgery can occur a long time after the actual surgery.
Only guessing but a fluid draw & a culture seems in order. Preventive antibiotics while this is happening.
Might be that you've sprung a leak & the saline has gathered all in the low spot, your scrotum.
I wish you good luck but please don't delay. Your implant surgeon should be notified as to his recommendations.
Good luck, best wishes & please keep us informed.

That was my first thought I asked hakky and he said it looks ok and to ice and wrap it but he couldn’t say what’s wrong for sure without seeing me. So I’ll get checked out at the local ER fortunately my oop is met so it should be free

Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

Don't fool with it go to a good ER I just went through months of BS with what they thought was an infection ended up being "suture debris" ..dick swelled up as big as my hand ... 5 hrs in ER getting antibiotics one time .. then a week later back in the ER recut everything open made a mess out of my dick and ball sack .. Dr. told me same thing infection and show up from one day to 3 yrs later nothing to fool with .. My NP told me they had one patient that had 8 revisions due to infections now cannot put any type of implant in him ...run don't walk to the ER

Swelling and pain are MAJOR danger signals. If your scrotum is hot/warm, discolored and you are running a fever, get yourself to an emergency room right away if your primary doctor or surgeon cannot treat you immediately.

Thanks all I went to the ER all I know is ultrasound shows swollen time will tell if it’s an infection or not. In the meantime I’m on iv antibiotics if it is an infection of the device I think I’ll travel to Atlanta rather than let local uro’s operate on me

That is exactly how my infection appeared , I was fine for 3 months and then my scrotum swelled like a grapefruit. Went to the dr and took antibiotics. Ended up having 4 surgeries due to how much the infection grew. They should do a culture on rhe fluid inside to see what antibiotic to fight it.
