Well, it has been a year since I had my implant, and all things considered it has been a huge disappointment, it has not got any easier with practice as I was told it would, in fact quite the reverse so about 4 months ago I just gave up with it. I never got more than about 3/4 of the way to something like a usable erection before the bulb just got so hard that I could not go any further, even with two hands, but more often than not it would just pop out from between my finger and thumb and hit one of my testicles. On one occasion I ruptured a blood vessel in my scrotum which was bruised, swollen and sore for a week or so.
Fortunately I don't have any discomfort with it so long as I leave it alone, except for feeling that I was a fool to put myself through all that and allow myself to get excited about it.
Good luck to the rest of you guys.

This is another reason I'm glad my dr. only let me put a mallabble implant in. His NP warned me that once implanted you had to "exercise" the implant almost daily yo keep the pump from riding up into your testicles. I told he I can't get motivated to go to the gym can't see me exercising my implant on a regular basis. Sounds like you have a faulty implant or one that was no placed properly.

EasyMoney,
With all due respect, I disagree with your assessment.

No experience with your brand and very few on FT that had it. Most use coloplast or AMS. Hate to hear about bad experiences mostly because they discourage others from having an implant. My implant was very difficult to pump at first, only getting 4-5 pumps in and then it would get too hard to pump… but, as the weeks went on I did the Perito exercises and bent it up down left and right while supporting it at the base with my other hand. Did this twice daiky and every time I did it I could add a little more fluid. As it broke in it got softer while flaccid and harder when pumped up. By 4-5 months it was rock hard and getting 12-14 pumps to max by 6-8 months was up to 18-20 pumps and regained most of my initial loss in size. By 12 months I was back to normal size when max pumped with 25 full pumps and 4-6 small pumps and absolutely rock hard. It took a lot of work and exercises to get it in shape but was all worth it! There was many days that it was uncomfortable also but I never dealt with any pain like you described. Hopefully it will break in a little more to where it more usable. Might do some research on Perito exercises. Go to Perito urology and watch the video series on “Meet the Penis” there’s lots of good info on these videos and I would think still hope for a better more usable dick with the right exercises.
58year old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Why? He didn't make the thing.

Thanks again for the replies,
I observed the regimen following my op, I think that my implant is sitting properly, because there is no way that the pipe from the reservoir would allow it to be any lower, as I have said, I don't have any discomfort if I leave the thing alone, so from that point of view I am no worse off than I was pre-op.
I am not going to point the finger at the surgeon because the actual implantation has been a success, it is the function of the implant which seems to be at fault, and as I said , he did not make the thing.I suspect that the valve is the problem because in addition to the resistance of the bulb to being compressed, it takes quite a time to refill will fluid from the reservoir, which I would gave expected to be more or less instantaneous.
I think that I have just been unlucky, anything manufactured in volume has a failure rate.
I do not think that it is fair to criticise me for reporting a negative turn of events because it might discourage others from taking the plunge, rather that it gives others a more realistic picture of how the business might turn out before they make that decision.
I was fully aware of potential problems regarding the actual surgery and recovery, and that the implant could possibly fail in service but I never really considered the possibility that it might not work at all, I would have expected quality control to reduce that outcome to almost nothing, perhaps it does and I am just really unlucky.
Thanks again to you all.
