Does Dr. Kramer actually do good work?

Postby Pamen116 » Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:10 am

Now before any Kramernite tries to stone me, this is a genuine question with knowledge of the volume he receives and work he’s done. But since hindsight is always clearer it seems like I see more and more people dealing with revisions or painful cylinder cuffs in there crus after surgery’s from him. Am I hallucinating

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.

I don't really understand how you all often refer to "good surgeons" and claim
certain results are probable if you get a "good surgeon."

Every single doctor who performs surgery who is practicing medicine in America is good at surgery. No one is bad at it. That's how they become licensed to perform surgery in America. Getting penile implants isn't a sport between athletes where the urologists need practice and experience with the "volume he receives" to perform the procedure.

Yes, Dr. Kramer does good work.

So does every other urologist in America.

Which one do you all think is "bad"?

I think you're in for a lot of disagreements on this one, dude.

Think it comes down to terminology. I work in healthcare and I can guarantee you there are, unfortunately, bad surgeons. Not many. But there are. This is not only due to skill but more often than not, their mentality and attitude.

Moreover, in the case of our dicks, which as you know we care greatly about in terms of both functionality and appearance, it really does pay to use a penile implant specialist who better understands the nuances of this kind of surgery and inserts a solid number of them a year, as opposed to a general urologist who performs maybe a handful of penile implantations a year.
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

Realistically it's not an issue of opinion. My source is the American Medical Association.

Honestly, your viewpoint isn't really accurate anymore. I'm sure 30 years ago some doctors/surgeons had positive feedback while a few others had poor bedside manner and that was shared among patients.

But the way the practice of medicine has evolved since then, and what it takes to practice medicine in America these days is not a sport between doctors.

Youe alternative thought process doesn't really make sense - if they're "bad," how do the keep their license? How does anyone let a surgeon cut up a body if they are "bad"? Lots of medical malpractice cases?

This was an inaccurate perception decades ago but it's not how the American health care system operates anymore.

Again, name me a surgeon who is "bad" at it - I want one name.

What's wrong with your assumption also is the bias of the answer to OP's question. He asked if Dr. Kramer is "good" - you all are answering to that. What data is your opinion of "good" or "bad" doctors based on?

It's your personal opinion based off word of mouth, what unqualified patients say about a doctor.

My opinion is based ln the American Medical Association.

They determine who can perform surgery, not word of mouth on FrankTalk forums.

This is a disagreement due to different definitions of “good”.

The OP (and many guys here asking similar questions) are defining “good” as being in the top percentile of their professional skills.

2435tjklAS seems to be defining “good” as meeting the minimum requirements for licensing/credentialing/certification.

Assuring the bare minimum competency to insure patient safety is what most licensing bodies do. Just like drivers on the road have drivers licenses. They took drivers safety education classes. The passed a written test. They passed an eye exam. They passed a driving test. So, yes, they have a license.

But we ALL know there are good drivers and bad drivers. The same is true in every profession, including medicine. YES. There are bad urology surgeons. They have a medical license, but that isn’t what the OP is asking.

What most people here are asking is, who are the best?

2435tjklAS,
A lot of what we see here is people having issues with revisions due to bad outcomes of penile implants. Of course, there are bad surgeons, urologists, nurses, lawyers, bankers, etc.
Some of them lack the experience, the continuity of practice, or skills in this area. You can see a lot of posts with very poor results and even surgeons' attitudes.
Before I get my implant, I asked the surgeon who did my RP if he also does IPP. He said that this is not his specialty, and that there are others who do it more frequently and with good results.

I don't want to take the conversation to a different way. The original post is "Does Dr. Kramer actually do good work?" We may focus on this subject as well.
