Popping open suture on accident

Anyone ever done this or read about anyone who did this?

I picked up my daughter (24lbs) last night at 3 weeks out from surgery, and felt a sharp pain in my suture/under it. I did not feel an actual "pop" which I remember Hakky saying that is how I would know if I did it or not. But the sharp pain has turned more into an ache in the / under the suture site today.

The actual outer sutures look fine, but I know he cuts through 5 different layers of fascia with penoscrotal approach. I am sort up wondering if I potentially pushed up a suture underneath. I'll reach out to him but also looking for anecdotal reports..

The other, probably more likely alternative is that 15 minutes prior I was pushing around my excess tubing to try to get it to fit better in my scrotum and I could feel that tubing rubbing on my internal parts. That could have caused a lot of irritation..

Do not delay contacting your surgeon. Not one minute. You want to get this evaluated before inappropriate healing makes correcting a tear more complicated.

I don't think 24lb after about 3 weeks would affect the scrotum.
I suspect alternative 2 could be the cause, but let us hope it is just unrelated pain.

Doc says sounds like irritation and to take ibuprofin 2x a day for a few days
