8 days post implant

Well I took the plung last Wednesday and I'm having some questions that have probably been answered 100 times so bear with me.

Dr sent me home about 30-40% erect the first several days were uncomfortable to say the least got the drainage tube out Monday which made a big difference! All good but my scrotum is still somewhat swollen and very tender the skin itself feels very thick where the pump sits is this normal?

Now having a "shower" how long till the damn thing starts pointing downward enough to wear pants? I've measured several times and it seems like it's getting longer day after surgery I was about 4-1/2" today I'm 5-1/2"! Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining just uncomfortable during this whole healing process.

Also asked the doc about activating he tell me 4 weeks. I know all surgeons have their own schedule but doesn't that seem quite long? I can easily find the pump and release valve tempted to try it..

Any suggestions would be welcome..

My guess is that the length change is just your pubic pad shrinking back to normal. Its common for your pad to swell after surgery.

I'm almost at the exact same timeline as you and I've noticed the same thing. It seems like it comes out a bit more each day. First few days 4 inches, now closer to 5, and in a few months time, with luck, most if not all size restored. i notice I still get some natural swelling when i see an attractive woman, but its a strange and uncomfortable feeling. Anytime I think about sex, I just ice my balls again.

I am scheduled to start cycling after week 2. I do think different docs have their reasons.

Guys- Welcome the first 2 weeks are miserable, and thats the easy part because the next 2 weeks you start feeling good and want to play with your new junk, Lol. feel around enjoy the fact you are no longer a "grower" but most of all do what your Dr says. every person has there very particular surgery and variables and only you Dr knows it. so do what he says,. You do not want an infection, check with your dr. before warm bathes or cycling. You will make it through that first month O torture.

My doctor sent me home 60% inflated for the first two weeks. I was definitely still swollen and sore at day 8.

At my two-week appointment my doctor fully deflated me. At that point, I could uncomfortably wear loose pants. He instructed me not to mess around with the pump or try anything sexual (fucking, oral, jerking off) until my next follow-up appointment. Because he was so busy, I didn't go back and get the okay to use the implant until eight weeks after the surgery.

I followed my doctor's instructions, and everything went well. The healing took a while. Sex didn't feel comfortable until roughly four and a half months after my surgery. But it all was worth it because now sex is amazing compared to the whole time I've had ED before getting the implant.

Are you still icing? I was pretty obsessive with it from the start. I’ve tapered quite a bit but still do it 2-3 times a day for 20 to 30 min. It helps tremendously with the swelling. Same with ibuprofen, even if you’re not in pain take it to minimize inflammation to allow your body to heal faster (assuming you don’t have ulcer or kidney concerns). I’ve dealt with so many injuries and it makes an enormous difference in recovery time.

Edit: I also used this heating bag. Since you can’t bathe yet these are great to alternate with ice. Heating pads don’t get the job done.

Hey guys thanks for all the replies, for some reason I couldn't get on here for a few days guess the issue is resolved.

Well it's getting better every day public area swelling is all gone just scrotum swelling, worst in the morning! Probably haven't been icing as much as I should either. Thanks buffalo I never thought about ibuprofen I really haven't had enough pain to think about it but took some just to see and it helps seems the best remedy for now is ice with my coffee and laying on the couch with my scrotum pulled up above my thighs which really seems to reduce the swelling.

Unfortunately I don't seem my urologist for another 3 weeks to be activated so even though the little guy is starting to point down a little it is still bothersome.. lol... like I said I'm guessing it's about 30 or 40% inflated which is still a learning curve..

It took about a month to go down and when you start cycling that will help also. Good luck and ice it down and get thru the bad time because it really gets better watch!
