two year anniversary!

Postby Rider1400 » Mon May 20, 2024 11:21 am

Yesterday was my two year anniversary of my implant!
Used pills for 10 years ever increasing dosage to the point I was using 40-60mg of cialis and occasionally 100mg of viagra and still inconsistent and regularly failing midsex. Went to injections which worked amazingly at first with as little as 2-4 units of a mild tri-mix. Within a month It was taking 6-8units to get good results and then that wouldn’t be enough so I would double again! This rollercoaster went on for almost a year and I was using 60units and would either fail or stay hard for 4 hours and I would start eating Sudafed and narrowly avoided ER visits a few times. It was at this point I knew I had to take the final plunge! Took several weeks to get in to see the Dr of my choice in Dallas. I live in central Arkansas so it’s a 5-1/2 hour drive. Explained the situation and started the process of getting approval for insurance which took several more weeks then another 6-7 weeks to get on schedule for implant. I had been using injections for 16 months by the time I was implanted and every time I stuck a needle in my dick it was a 50/50 chance it would work or work too well…
3 weeks before my scheduled implant I had a terrible fall into the hold of my houseboat and busted my shoulder tearing three rotator muscles, detaching the top of my biceps muscle, breaking my arm in one place and breaking two ribs in three different places! Had surgery 5 days later on shoulder where they put 4 screws and a small plate in my shoulder during a 4 hour surgery. Obviously you can’t use your arm for first two weeks before therapy starts so thru much discussion with my Orthopedic surgeon and my implant Dr in Dallas they agreed that I could still do the implant exactly two weeks after my shoulder surgery. This was my second shoulder to have major rotator surgery on so I knew I had a long recovery and plenty of pain ahead of me. Implant surgery went great with no complications and very little pain. At times I thought maybe my shoulder was hurting and it made me not even realize if I was having any pain from the implant but overall I still didn’t use any pain pills. Started therapy on my shoulder the week after implant and they would put me in a private room as my pecker was sticking out when I laid on my back to have my shoulder moved and worked on. My implant healed quickly and was able to have sex on week 3 with a lot of discomfort but still a good experience. It only got better from there. At least I was off work 8 weeks for the shoulder so I didn’t have to explain anything to fellow employees about why I was out.
I pumped twice daily for 30 minutes for the first 12 months and then just for sex or masturbation which is 3-4 times a week. By 10 months I had regain the inch I lost during implant and actually gained a 1/4” on my girth over any measurement I had taken before. This last year has been absolutely amazing! While talking to my wife last night after some amazing sex I asked her about her thoughts on my implant for the last two years. She said she loved it! And said she felt it was a marriage saver as we had been really struggling with my ED issues for so many years. She always blamed herself and felt she wasn’t enough. Well her opinion about it now says it all! Definitely the best thing I’ve done in last 10 years! I always said I had my implant at exactly the right time for me but after two years I now wish I had done it about 2-3 years earlier when the pills started failing. You never know how injections are going to work for you but they simply didn’t for me. Good luck to all who are about to or just got an implant.
58year old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Good story about a happy outcome. Nice your fall and busted up body didn't delay the surgery. Must have been a tough time for a while. Made me laugh about therapy in a separate room!

There’s a lot more to that part of the story!! lol. The ladies at the front desk would always be whispering and trying not to look at me when I came in…. You know my therapist told them about it!!

LOL. Reminds me of an MRI I had done. Ladies at the front desk asked if I had any implants, told them penile implant. The MRI tech came to get me, asked the front desk ladies if there were any implants. They told her yes, penile. Tech asked again, desk ladies told her again. Kind of embarrassing since there were other people sitting in the waiting room. Tech took me back, asked me twice what implant I had. I was wearing sweatpants, my bulge was showing laying on my back. Caught the Tech starting at my crotch a couple times.

At first I worried about my bulge, but after the first year or so I just stopped even thinking about it! While having my physical last month my primary Dr that’s seen me for 15 years asked how the implant was doing( she’s an attractive lady a couple years older than Me and knows my wife pretty well) I said doing great! No problems at all. While doing the prostate exam I would swear she was looking around to catch a glimpse!! If she would have asked I would have gladly demonstrated it or anything else she requested. She even passed on the cough test( hernia)this year where they poke finger up in your scrotum!! lol! Guess it was a little embarrassing for her.
