Recovery Q

Postby Anthony » Wed Feb 22, 2023 8:25 pm

I am scheduled for implantation on 2 May, 2023 and found out today that I have a work event on 16 May, 2023. This event will see me standing for about 4 hours.
I have a strong tolerance for pain but am concerned that Ill injure myself standing and walking. What are some experiences 14 days after implant? Will I get all swollen and busted up!?
Thanks

If it's 14 days out you surely won't be super comfortable, but standing and walking shouldn't be that bad. I think your only concern is whether or not you're cool showing off some massive bulge, lol. You'll be left about 60% erect I think, and who knows what your exact size will be then, but I can tell you it'll be very noticeable if anyone looks that way.

What I can tell you is that 11 days post op I drove 250 miles round trip, with a lot of walking and standing involved. I was definitely "uncomfortable" by the time I got home, but not serious at all. I wore my jock strap to keep my dick and balls secured and did really well. So don't rush through anything, pace yourself and you should be OK.

I not once ever worried or cared about the bulge I was showing, and I was protruding a significant amount. .

I agree with the post above in most cases. The only thing that gives me any cause to post is the PD curvature you have. If your doctor does extra work you may have a bit longer recovery. I would tell work that there is a possibility that you will not be able to make part or all of the event. Your doctor will have more information on this. We are all different and we heal differently. The big thing is to stay flat as you can for the first 48-72 hours and use cold packs. Motrin also helps with swelling. After that gradually increase activity. Try to remember to ask for cold packs in recovery and for as long as you are in the hospital. All of this will help with recovery.

Good luck going forward with this.

at two weeks, you may find standing even more comfortable than sitting. I had a donut cushion that I used for almost a month when sitting since sitting was still a bit uncomfortable. If you are partially inflated, you probably will want to secure your bulge someone. I agree with the other guys above that having a bulge is nice, but pitching a tent can be a little bit awkward.

if I was in public while inflated, I would put on a soft pair of cotton underwear, then a jock strap on top of that. My penis would be pointed up. I did find the pressure of the jockstrap, a little uncomfortable after a while.

I think you will find your event tolerable. Only four hours.

At two weeks out you should be fine, maybe a bit uncomfortable though. Just take it easy, no heavy lifting.
The day after may be when you'll know if you overdid it. And as mentioned, you will more than likely have a significant bulge showing in your pants. Hopefully you can wear some baggy pants.

If you had a subcoronal implant due to peyronies, I would expect (but do not know) if your recovery to take longer than for most of us here who had a penoscrotal (PS) or infrapubic (IP) implant instead.

I had an IP implant. So, I obviously can't say if you'll feel comfortable enough to attend your work event (whether standing and/or sitting) only 2 wks post op.

I think that this would be something better discussed with your doc or w/someone who has actually had a similar surgery instead.

There are others but the only person who I can currently think of who is currently on FT who had a subcoronal peyronies implant was @aussiePeyronies. You can find him here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20890

Read his thread and/or send him a PM to see if he can provide you with any further insights about this matter.

Good luck!

I am two weeks post op today after massive swelling but not much pain. same issue. There are things I have to do including PT with a female and a lot of walking around. My solution a couple days ago after wearing my wife's custom made jock, I finally found overnight delivery from amazon of two great jocks with 3 inch waistbands. 2XL Goldbergs. Wore it all day today no issue under my jockey boxer briefs. I have low hangers kinda large I hear, 6.5 girth and 24cm Titan implant and it's mostly inflated now and for another month. I really needed it facing north if you know what I mean. There was a bulge in jeans but a complementary bulge, not an offensive bulge straight out. It was so bad before, I didn't go outside the first week. The jock really helped and now I can go anywhere I need to. Good luck.
