Black marks around incision area where it has stiches

Postby proctor » Mon Sep 07, 2020 8:40 pm

Hello, I am healing from my surgery on 27 Aug w/out minmal discomfort and pain (touchwood). I am observing some black mark (looks like dead cells) around the incision area which was stiched.
Has this happened to any of you? Did they go away on their own? Or it needed some application of medications?

I haven’t gotten an implant yet, but I did get a circumcision and a vasectomy done and I also had similar bruising. Mine completely went away after a couple of weeks.

It's probably marker the doctor used to mark the area for your incision. They usually use a type of marker similar to a Sharpie (maybe it *IS* a Sharpie) to mark skin before cutting so they have a guide.

I think that you’re right. There were what appeared to be small black or blue marks where the Dr. Kramer made the incisions for my vasectomy and the rest was bruising for me.
