1st prescription received

Received in the mail a few days ago a prescription for papaverine/phentolamine which I guess is the name of the one everyone seems to be using. It came with a bunch of syringes. My question is and I'm sure this has been asked before should I fill these syringes up with my dosages and freeze 'em? I don't want them to spoil.

Also being brand new and never before used this if you guys could point me to some posts that will educate me on the process, the outcome, strategies, basically anything that will help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like you're using Bimix. Most of us here are on Trimix, which includes a third drug, Alprostadil. Some of the bimix users will chime in with specifics about your prescription. You can expect your drug to last several months if you refrigerate it properly. Some guys freeze their juice and others simply keep it in the fridge. I've tried it both ways and the longevity was about the same for both methods.

Good morning all;
I just went looking for a good video that will teach this skill. I was VERY disappointed with what I saw from a DOCTOR (never take advice about injections, from a doctor, they never give them). A few very important things that people never do but should do (or not do) were missed.

1. ALWAYS pull the syringe plunger back after it goes in the skin. It's called aspirate. You do this to ensure that you have not punctured a vein.

2. (This will be controversial). Experts in Canada have discovered that there is almost no benefit to rubbing the injection site with alcohol BUT it is proven that it does cause more discomfort. Just ensure you clean with soap and water. Here is a US study;

I don't think you should fill too many syringes at one time since you may have to vary the amount injected. I keep the vial in the freezer and take it out to fill maybe 3 syringes at a time and keep them in the fridge.

As far as aspirating, I think it's to ensure you're in the right place. If you hit a vein, it'll possibly hurt, but you'll have a black and blue place soon. I have hit a vein and continued on to the cavernosa.

I read the first article. It was interesting but it didn't convince me to skip the alcohol rub. I don't experience any discomfort from the practice and don't see a down side to the practice. With the cost factor so minimal why not do it.

As for the aspiration practice, I personally don't see the need. I would tend to use my routine to determine if I was in the correct spot before aspiration and at that point why bother. Of course I'm all for the practice if it works for the individual. Use what works! As an aside, when my wife was giving me T-shots in my ass I think she hit a vein once because when she pushed the plunger I nearly fell out from the head rush. It only happened once.

All that said I'm willing to try doing another video, custom. Tell me how you want it and I'll try to do it per order if it's something that will aid others.

I just freeze the vile. If I pull it out of the freezer and set it on the side table it will be liquid by the time I get out the syringe and otherwise get ready. I guess if I was having a date over and wanted to be prepared, getting a syringe pre-prepped would be a good idea. But then my wife would kill me if I brought over a date. I'd be my death date.

You didn't have to be convinced not to use it if you are not having any discomfort when injecting. When I was working close to 50% of our injections hurt. When we had our annual training, we quit using it (it was up to each paramedic weather they wanted to use them or not. My partner and I quit using them and noticed a difference. As for aspirating, if you inject that shit into a vein, you will start aspirating every time... I guarantee it. Infiltrating the vein and going where it was intended doesn't count. There are no veins accessible in your ass. It's all adipose tissue which is why T shots are best injected there. I injected into my upper leg once and it freakin hurt for a week.

OK, but why did I get such a head rush the one time. The injection wasn't painful, but I about fell out and was dizzy for several minutes. Every other time there was no adverse effect at all.

You sure as hell won't be aspirating with an auto injector, which I don't use.

I guess there have to be capillaries in the butt, and at least nerves.
I have hit a place that hurt like hell, and other times, I don't even feel it.
I have had some blood running down my cheek a couple times as well.

I tried shooting into the thigh a couple times, but at times it hurt a little for several days.
I stopped doing that.

One problem I had with butt shooting was the needle separating from the syringe if I pressed it too fast, or didn't secure it tightly enough.
It's tough, but I try to wrap my other arm around my body to hold them together and use the other hand to press the plunger.
