Yes, i don't get it either... How come first EDEX was completely gone, then Caverject?
The only semi-explanation i got from the pharmacy was that there were manufacturing problems with the EDEX syringes, but how does that affect Caverject?

Probably not really the case Hunchback, my prescription for 40mg Caverject in the UK was not available last week.

We are in the process of moving to France so that source will soon close. The only way 20mg is any use to me is if I use two.

We went through the process to get double amounts of 20mg at the beginning of the year, but when the 40mg came back that expired!

Looks like before long it is back to the pump!

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago in UK. Phamacist spoke to Pfizer rep who told him that they had underestimated the demand. However I was also told by the phamacist that he believed the supply was being restricted to stop the sale of UK supplies overseas where Caverject is much more expensive ( for example USA). In any event, my pharmacist was able to get Viridal 40mcg without a problem (branded Edex in some markets) which is the same drug, alprostadil/PGE1.
80 year old Type2 diabetic, long term ED, pills then injections PGE1. After 4 years they became less effective. Implanted 20/3/2018 by NHS. AMS 700 CX 15+4 cm with MS pump. Never had any significant pain. Still working perfectly and used regularly.

Sorry to hear of your availability problems snake and bluewhippet, it would seem that the availability problem is spreading to the UK, not just France. I am still unable to access either Caverject or Edex, so today I decided to go to the top. I have e-mailed Pfizer's CEO Ian Read asking why Caverject has not been available for over 6 months. I kept the e-mail brief and polite but expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. I have no idea as to whether I will received a reply, but if I do I will post the reply.

Good luck with your move snake, I guess this Brexit nonsense has forced your hand to move now rather than wait, hopefully if you move over before March 2019 any rights that are now in place will be honoured, but who knows. A pretty awful exchange rate at the moment if you are looking to buy a property, and if you future income stream will have to be converted from stirling into euros.

I had an appointment with a new doctor yesterday and one of the things we discussed was medication in France.

In short, the options they offer here is EDEX/Caverject in 10 or 20mcg. There is NO 40. There's also Vitaros, but afaik (and to my experience) it's bollocks.
These drugs are 100% free though, so there's that.

The pills, Cialis etc, are also available but quite expensive.

They haven't even heard of "trimix" or any other custom formula drug that's used in the USA. Sad.

Concerning EDEX - apparently the supply is back to normal, i've had my last month's order of 6 boxes fine, and they've already have 6 boxes for next month (will pick it up this weekend). If you are having trouble finding EDEX, maybe try going to a big city.
Caverject is completely off the grid though, so if you prefer this you'll have to wait... till it's back.
