Postby Sonny1986ams700 » Mon Jan 29, 2024 10:29 am

Even that the injections are turn on to use and you need to carry them with you the availability problems! That's really annoying situation, I really wanna get implanted soon...

I believe Caverject is literally gone for good. You need to get EDEX, which is the same thing from another company.
Check with your Dr.
39 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

I would never recommend caverject. To me it was very painful injecting myself with that quarter inch needle. Next step was the three piece implant. Best thing a man can do. I have had three implants in twenty three years. The LGX has been the best on every thing. Gives you length and girth. Takes time but every time you have a revision they have to add longer cylinders or add rte's. Most want it instant, but it takes time.
age: 75 First implant around 2001, 59 at the time. AMS 700 Ultrex
revision Dec 2016. 2ND implant 21CM, 1rte AMS 700 LGX MS pump

Yes, the Edex should work well for you if the Caverject was working.

That's one every 7 1/2 years. That would kind of suck.

I used to use Caverject before Medicare kicked in then no-go. So off to compounded Tri-Mix or just PGE. But it is a hassle for longer trips with lots of movement/places. I just checked retail non-insurance cost of Edex   I'd have to sell both kidneys for a 2 week supply then what? Is there a place with a decent price? TIA

Yeah, that's why I went to compounded alprostadil, which it turns out I like better. My insurance covered Edex for a short while and then quit. I couldn't afford it without coverage. With the compounded version, which I got four times as strong as the Edex, it works out cheap enough that I don't care that insurance doesn't cover it. I'm hoarding some badly expired Edex just because it's so good for travel. I tried one out recently and still works like new.

I wish I'd saved my last several Caverjects for travel but I thought they'd go bad. Planning a 5 week trip with 10 stops and just can't see fiddling with vials, thermos, ice and syringes.
