Is my doctor lying about quadmix?

Hi Joy,

This is screaming two things to me. One is very overpriced, the other dangerous. As in, a great chance of ending up in the ER (even more expensive and extremely painful to drain your penis).

Here is a copy of my notes from the phone call to Olympia Pharmacy. For the prices shown, you can see I got a telemed with their doctor, a phone consult with Kevin at Olympia, a 10ml vial of trimix 30-1-10, a 5ml vial of the injectable reversal agent, overnight shipping (came solid frozen both times). In that 10ml vial, I got somewhere around 100 shots. Their Telemed is good for one year, so at refill time you just pay the cost of the trimix, my refill was $244 for another 10ml vial. While the price I paid is not cheap, but it worked for me more effectively because of A.) I have high deductible insurance (a local Uro would have cost me more), and B). I wanted to give my own test injection of 5units, not what a Uro thought would be a suitable test injection.

What Kevin at Olympia told me, and separately their doctor told me is that a patient like me that gets even a slight reaction to Viagra and/or Cialis is started out with their "starter mix" of 30-1-10. I told them of my plans to go slow, and that I intended to only inject 5 units at first for a test injection. They agreed this was a solid and good plan.

Quadmix is more potent than Trimix, not a starter drug.
Inject every day? For 6 months? That can get expensive, and I'm guessing a sore penis. My other thought is that dose is high to start but will do less and less by month 6.
If you're suffering from ED as far as I know no drug will cure it. My suggestion is find another urologist.

This sounds like the Men's ED Center that ran for a while. That's where I got introduced to Trimix. That doc wanted me to take 4-6 doses per week for 6 months. When they told me the price for the med for 6 months totaled $2,698 I about fainted!
Seriously, seek another opinion. A 12 unit dose of Quadmix should give a guy a boner for 6-8 hours or more. IF you dare to follow his routine have lots of Sudafed handy.

Is that for a 5ml vial or a 10ml? What about the total, non-Medicare price for the Uro? And the price for the doppler and physical workup? All of these things have to be considered.

He injected me with 10 units of quad in the office. I lasted about 30 minutes and he said it was normal.

That makes me wonder if it was really Quadmix. After Trimix stopped working for me and I moved to Quadmix my first injection was 10 units and I had a boner for close to 3 hours.

I had a doppler done and it came back at 6. which is appearently better than expected.

He said he wants me to take quadmix 12 units 10 days a month for 6 month and he thinks I will eventually be able to lower the dose after that until I dont have to use it anymore.

Is this legit? I havent heard anything like this.

A similar regiment of injecting 3x/week or every other day for approx 6 months is sometimes recommended following a nerve sparing radical prostatectomy. The idea is to help minimize atrophy and penis shrinkage while the nerves restore their functioning after the trauma from surgery. Most urologists will prescribe a VED for this purpose but mine also mention this injection regiment after my surgery but only with mono alprostadil (PGE1). I opted for the VED for my recovery period because I couldn’t wrap my head around sticking my Dick with a needle back then.

So a similar 6 month) injection regiment might be prescribed for the purpose mentioned above. However, Doppler ultrasound is typically used to test for venous leakage which usually worsens with age. I have never heard of injection therapy used to cure or reverse venous leakage which I assume is the ED condition you’re attempting to treat. Even more suspicious is the recommendation to start with quadmix as previously mentioned. By all means, injections can work wonderfully in producing a strong erection for sex, but most (not all) users find they need to gradually increase dosages and mix strength over time to maintain the same effect. Again, I’ve never heard anyone claim their ED improved over time with with frequent injection usage.

I’m not here to call anyone a liar but IMO, this sure doesn’t pass the smell test.
