Here's a better option, and it will save you some money. Order the two items from LeLuv, and the bleeder kit from Amazon. I noticed that the Master Gauge pump only comes in a 2.4" diameter which will be too big for most. It's very important to get the correct diameter cylinder, based on your erect girth, or your testicles will get sucked in, believe me you don't want that! :o

From LeLuv: (kodidistributing.com)
Replacement Penis Pump Cylinder with Round Flange | 9" or 12" Length, 1.35"-5.0" Diameter. $34.99
(Choose you correct length & diameter cylinder from their chart)

From LeLuv:
Clear Hose & Quick-Disconnect Male O-Ring Fitting for Vacuum Pumps | Choose Length. 12" $10.99. (I would get the 18")

Brake Bleeder Kit from Amazon $20.

Spontaneous1 - as always, thanks for sharing your wealth of experience and knowledge. All kidding aside, are you a Dr? If not, you should be. My Uro told me that I should get a VED. That was it. No warnings or instructions on how to use it. If I hadn’t found this site, I wouldn’t had any guidance and who knows what could have happened. At my last visit, I told him about this site and he said he never heard of it.

Question- since CIalis doesn’t work for me at all, I use my VED for therapy and also for pleasure, if you know what I mean. On occasion, once or twice a week, I tend to end my VED therapy by popping on a couple restriction rings and having my wife join me in the bedroom. Should our get togethers in bed replace the daily routine or is it okay to do both, which kinda feels like a reward for my efforts of the daily routine? The little guy on my shoulder keeps telling me that I shouldn’t waste a pretty good erection.

Your thoughts or anyone else with an opinion?

And oh by the way, my restriction rings never are on more than 10 minutes, which might be a disappointment for some, but at this point, I’m/we are thankful that we can still do something.

As I look at the various products that LeLuv has all seem to have a flange on the insert side. They have a couple of kinds, narrow and wide. Won’t that hinder the removal of rings off the end? Seems the end should be smooth and no flanges so rings can easily be moved off the end of the cylinder. Am I missing something?

I think some guys have managed to make it work. I am not one of them. I have difficulty using a ring on a pump with a flared base. Using 2 rings makes the problem worse. The problem is removing the ring to my dick without losing vacuum. I hate to be fumbling with the pump when it's time for action.

I am not aware of any FDA approved medical grade ved's that have a gauge. Maybe there are some? I have used different brand of medical grade ved's and have never felt the need for a gauge.

Shakey & F1,
I'll throw in my two cents on the subject as a user of a VED and 2 constriction rings.
I tried a whole bunch of cheap VED's with various combinations of rings. I was able to stretch some types of rings onto the VEDs, but with difficulty. Also had some difficulty ejecting the rings onto my member due to the VED roll on the input end.
Finally found the Osbon Erecaid rings best for me but very difficult to position on the cheap tubes due to size without an applicator. Finally gave up and bought a (Medical Grade) Osbon Erecaid Classic VED system with rings and applicator - easy to apply.
The Erecaid VED does not have a gage but I got around it by trial and error then marking the tube with two points - 'starting' and 'ending'. I pump up to where it is just below discomfort and mark the tube as the starting point. As I continue to pump and release over time, I found that the length increases about an inch and I mark that point on the tube as ending point.
If I'm not using it for PIV (with rings), I set it up in advance so everything is ready, and I can pump up and be ready for use in only a minute or so.

R.J., thanks for the kind words, no I'm not a doctor, just done a lot of research, and trial and error for what works and what doesn't. It seems some urologists need to be informed a lot better, the limited information they hand out can be more detrimental than helpful.

Your use of a ring(s) a couple times a week after your pump session shouldn't be bad, just give yourself a couple minute pause after your last pump set, put the ring on your cylinder, slowly pump up till you're erect, slip on the ring(s), and have fun. Good to hear you don't keep it on too long, I know they say never longer than 30 minutes, but I don't go past 20, your 10 minutes is conservative and safe, that's good!

There are two schools of thought on having an orgasm after pumping, one side says you lose your pumped size too soon because of having an orgasm, and it hurts your gains. Another side says you're doing all this to be able to have sex, you're not doing it everytime, and using a ring helps maintain the pumped blood in your penis longer thus helping with your gains. My belief is the latter, it's not everytime, it's why you're doing it to start with, it may jump start things to a more normal state (use it or lose it), so enjoy!!!

Someone mentioned having issues with the flanged cylinders and getting the rings off and onto your penis. I understand this, and rather than investing in an expensive "medical-grade", FDA approved (lol, if they were so great they wouldn't approve any without a gauge) pump setup, invest in a cheap $20 - 25 pump (cylinder, hose w/quick release, and pump). You can then purchase the Brake Bleeder Kit from Amazon, hook that pump up (with gauge attached) to your cheap cylinder and hose, and away you go. Don't be fooled by all the hype on med-grade pumps, when I started pumping 2 years ago I bought a Blush brand 9" x 2 1/4" $20 pump, I still have it, I still use it, and it still works fine, plus I have no problems unnloading rings off it. I have added a Premium Silicone Vacuum Penis Pump Seal to use occasionally, although you can't use it when unloading a ring.

Here's another FACT, I was uneducated when I started and didn't have a gauge with it but added it later after I wised up, you CANNOT GO BY FEEL! I don't care what anyone says, trust me, you can over-pressure your penis very easily going by feel and not even know it! Every person is different, as is every penis, some can take a lot of pressure before they begin to feel it pulling on them, others can't stand much pressure at all, and can actually get petachia from low pressure. If you don't have a gauge to actually judge the amount of pressure you're using then how do you really know? You seem concerned with doing things the right way R.J., do this the right way, have a gauge!

You know what your erect length and girth is, get a cylinder size that will compliment your pump sessions and help you gain back what you lost due to E.D. You probably won't need a cylinder over 9" in length, and if your girth falls around 5.5 a 2" Diameter cylinder will be plenty. Check this out:

Penis Pump Cylinder Size Chart
The best way to determine which cylinder size of our penis pumps is right for you, is to measure the circumference of your erect penis. The circumference is the circular distance around your penis.

If you do not have a measuring tape to do this, you can also use a string, shoelace or dental floss and wrap it loosely around the thickest part of your penis while in an erect state. Mark the string where it makes a complete circle, and place the string out flat next to a ruler. Measure the distance between the markings, this length is your penis circumference.

Once you know your circumference, simply use this penis pump size chart below to figure out which diameter we would recommend (you can also measure around your penis and testicles so you can 'pump' both inside the cylinder).

Your (Erect) Penis Circumference Recommended Cylinder Diameter
3.15 inch (8 cm)---------‐--------------------1.35 inch (3.4 cm)
4.00 inch (10 cm) ----------------------------1.50 inch (3.8 cm)
4.70 inch (12 cm) ----------------------------1.75 inch (4.5 cm)
5.50 inch (14 cm) -----------------------------2.00 inch (5.1 cm)
5.90 inch (15 cm) -----------------------------2.125 inch (5.4 cm)
6.25 inch (16 cm) -----------------------------2.25 inch (5.7 cm)
7.00 inch (18 cm)------------------------------2.50 inch (6.4 cm)

Again, I'm glad to help point you in the right direction, and I really hope to hear that, after a month or so, you are noticing a difference. Please PM me with any questions you have, always glad to help out a fellow Pennsylvanian.

As I look at various pump product sites I did come across a no flange cylinder at LA Pump under the thick wall cylinders. Rather expensive but this is the only one I have found to date. I would have to individually purchase the other components.

For whatever its worth, several years ago on recommendation of an acquaintance, I bought an expensive medical grade model VED ($300). I have been more than satisfied with it except for noticing the longer I play, the more the ring seem to let my erection gradually reduce. Not completely but noticeable (pushing a wet noondle is difficult.) One of my buddies bought the cheap, (less than $50) VED with manual pump and his works fine. I also have read that if ones erection does begin to diminsh the use of a second ring helps a great deal. I have not tried that option yet. Also for whatever its worth, I often wake up with erections and if I wait for a week between play sessions I can usually maintain an erection to full ejaculation without using the VED. Often it means a finish with my lovely partner conducting oral exercises on it but it will stay erect. I think ejaculation takes so long, I cannot go the 30 minutes non stop to make it happen now, so my girl is happy to have me lay back and smell the roses or something. Since we like sex much more often than once a week, I am actively working on the PIP option again.

I've noticed many of you have suggested purchasing a VED device. Internet searches have not been very helpful in satisfying my concerns regarding proper usage. All I have learned is that one can damage oneself via over pumping. But what constitutes over pumping?

Generally, how does one use a VED safely, and for how long, how often should the device be used?

Thanks!
F1

p.s. I've read somewhere around here that the surgeon Paul Perito has said: "The day of your last spontaneous erection was the day your penis started to shrink." I've had erectile dysfunction for a little bit now--no spontaneous erections, no morning wood--but with manual stimulation (masturbation) I seem to have maintained, measuring myself quite frequently. Could someone please elaborate? Having said that, I don't plan on hedging my bets, and have decided to proceed with an implant this spring/summer.

May I ask, if ED is new to you, then why are you moving directly to an implant?
