Have you,

Trimmed your pubes?

Applied a generous amount of lube to your penis and the VED seal?

Pumped your cock up slowly, pumping a few times, waiting 5-10 seconds then pumping a few more times? (Mimicing a natural erection)

Made sure you have a good seal, and your pump is holding vacuum?

Repeated the pump-n-wait cycle until you have a full erection?

Used a constriction band on the VED, and slipped it off the end of the VED and onto your erect penis without losing the vacuum?

If you've done all of these things you should now have an erection ready for action!

Bio, I use a $20 pump, and have been for over two years, if you follow all of my suggestions, barring the fact your pump is not holding vacuum because it's broke, it should work!

I see a lot of people saying you need to buy an expensive pump for it to work, that has not been my experience, but you do need one with a gauge so you're not applying too much pressure.

My $.02, take it or leave it.

Assuming your VED is working correctly, you could adding some Viagra. Viagra does nothing for me by itself but it does help with pumping a lot. And yes, plenty of lube is required for most guys. Also, as mentioned, you do need to do enough manscaping to assure a good seal. If you plan on using silicone constriction rings you'll need to do more trimming. Silicone rings and hair do not get along well at all.

Although I've had a couple of the sex shop pumps, I'm using the Erecaid manual pump. It's certainly much more expensive than the average sex shop pumps. It's also much better quality. Is the improved quality justify the price difference? Probably not. At least not all of it.

Depends on what you mean by "work".
Pump to a nice full erection until vacuum is released?
Pump to a nice full erection then remove the pump and have sex?

I can't understand why you cannot hold a vacuum. I use a cheap battery powered pump for exercising and have no problem getting and holding an erection. The vacuum does very slowly leak out even though I do manscape. Without the pump, I get no erection at all and without using rings the erection goes flaccid immediately upon removal of the VED. For exercising, I do use a clear inexpensive silicone sleeve on the entrance of the pump for seal and comfort. For PIV intercourse, I use an Erecaid Classic VED with 2 Erecaid rings. Place the rings on the pump - pump up and move the rings on to my erect penis and then remove the pump. Holds great until the required removal time. I also use a thin flat latex shield between the VED/rings and my groin for a better seal, which I move from below the rings to above them after I remove the pump, because my wife does not like the feel of the rings. I also use plenty of lube.

So Biomedex3090,

Are you saying that your pump is maybe working ok but you are only getting a 75% erection and you want to know why ?
