Kegels and Sex

It seems this topic comes up from time to time so I will try add to the discussion.

Kegels are something I still do daily. My goal is 100 a day. For many years I was a carpenter so standing and walking all day was normal. Then cancer and a radical then kegels to retrain my muscles.

Now after more then 5 years I do kegels for sex. My Dr. stated if I worked my muscles regularly, basically 2 things would happen. Bowel control would return quicker, (it did) and sex would be better, (I think it is). In fact we both do kegels for sex still. We sometimes do them separate and sometimes together.

How can a couple do kegels together? She might get the pump and come to the door with a smile and ask if I would like a little exercise. I might take 1/2 a 20mg generic levitra and start rubbing her down with some nice oil or cream. Once my penis gets erect maybe I will just put the tip in her and continue to rub the front of her with my hands. Sometimes I will move my penis up and down with my hand. She can take over if she wishes and use me to please herself. I become her sex toy. She is so warm and then gets hot as things go along it hardly ever fails to please at least one of us and sometimes both.

I just went to Google and typed in "Kegel" and came up with all kinds of advice on how and why we should do them. I think kegels should be part of any couples life all the time. If you don't get enough exercise as you age those muscles get weak.

So here are a couple of links and you should go find more:

Hi Jim. I just read your post on this subject. It's given me a fresh insight on how to do the exercises.
My wife has never been able to grip me, so she can't very well use my dick as a kegel prop.
I bought her some kegel balls to exercise with, but there's a lot of work yet to be done.
In the meantime I'll continue to sit on the arm of a sofa and do my contractions.
But 5 seconds holding a contraction and 15 seconds relaxing after each one is going to take a lot of time. Oh well, it's worth doing.
I first started doing them in order to control my bladder after the op. And I still do it for that reason.Otherwise I leak. But now I also do them in order to perform better in bed.
Thanks again for your comments.

BTW, have you heard of the "bridging manouvre?"

Jim

Have I ever, YES.

Follow this link and you shall see much. These ebooks are a little quirky to follow but after a while, you will get the hang of it.

Kegels take anywhere from 8 - 12 weels to show progress. So patience is the word of the day for erections, sex, kegels........

I only do 10 rep's at a time then stop. I do them anywhere at any time during the day.

Hey, guess what? I've got that book. Snap!

I'll have to start reading it more. I tend to read a little at a time and absorb one bit of info at a time.
So far I've read that bit about the bridging manouver. Funny thing was that I discovered it the day before I read about it. My wife really likes that.

Another tip was about sensate focus. I like to close my eyes and run my fingers around her body.
And just gentle masturbation to encourage blood flow - that's another great idea.

Did I mention already that I started doing the kegels mainly to avoid incontinence? After my op a physio told me about these exercises. The emphasis was on regaining full bladder control.

I practised and practised until it seemed that my bladder was ok. But then I discovered that it's an ongoing and necessary exercise.

But knowing that it also aids sexual performance is a strong added motivation.

How would you feel about putting this whole conversation on the web site for others to benefit from?

This is exactly what we are trying to promote. The free exchange of information with no rules of conduct.

That does not mean we all become disrespectful animals but it does mean we can talk about very personal things with little regard for social reservation or restriction.

Many could benefit from this brief conversation.

How about it? My vote is yes but how do you feel? I will abide by your decision.

Kind Regards Jim

That's okay by me. Shall we post a new topic called Kegel?
I would like to read what you have to say on the subject. And hopefully others besides myself will chip in.

One Jim to another.

I recently found out that a very good place to do some of my Kegels
is actually sitting on the toilet (in the comfort of my own home);
your pelvic floor is not resting on anything.
I sometimes sit there just to do them…
Give it try and see if you like it.

Kegels are great for stamina work also. Try doing them while hanging a small towel over your erect penis (towel lifts). I sometimes get my pump nice and tight and let it hang down and do a few sets of kegels trying to lift the pump for as long as possible. Ahything for resistence will work.

There is another type of kegel called reverse kegel.
Instead of trying to pull in with the muscle, try to push out; kind of like farting but without releasing any gas. Be careful you don’t draw mud or you will have to go out in the yard and clean up with the hose.

Try to stop urinating in midstream. That's the muscle group to do regular kegels.

Try to push all the urine out of your bladder. That's the muscle group to do reverse kegels.

There's a guy at another site who claims he can hold a kegel for 45 mins. He also claims that kegels are his main exercise for ED control.(interesting)

Interrupting the flow of urine with the Kegels is a very good way
to get to know the muscles involved in the process.
Sometime in the past, we were told to do the exercises during urination,
but not any longer; why that has changed, I wouldn’t know…
But the latest trend is not to actually do them during urination.
They are supposed to be very helpeful to fight premature ejaculation
(aparently not a common problem here)
and venous leakage.
