At this writing I am 18 years post radical prostectomy. Before the cancer diagnosis I occasionally experienced ED but back then Viagra worked very well. Post surgery using Ed meds an erection was possible but the side effects were not good for me. An Augusta medical grade pump produces a decent erection, particularly when using two bands. Occasionally I experience morning fullness, not a “ hard on” but a pleasant experience. With some coaxing I can get hard, hanging at about 4 o’clock, but not hard enough for penetration.
71 years of age, afflicted with ED in my late 40’s and treated with Viagra. Started treatment for hypertension at the age of 50; diagnosed with PC at age 50, RP at age of 51 years.

This made the incontinence I had after the RP worse and still nothing worked to give me an erection. Then 2020 I can’t remember the date I woke up in the morning with a raging hard on :D . The wife and I were over the moon :D . But getting erect and staying erect was hit and miss. Late 2020 I was found to be suffering from low testosterone. So was put on testosterone replacement (Testogel) this was working great until August 2021 when a routine psa blood test showed my psa at 3.4 it had been undetectable until then. Testosterone replacement was stopped and slowly the frequency or erections became less. My psa was being checked regularly and found to be doubling every two months. November 2021 it was confirmed by my oncologist that the rising psa was coming from a malignant tumour in my left hip and one in my lower spine. I am still deciding along with my oncologist what treatment to have if any. Because I also suffer with Parkinson’s disease which is also worsening. So it’s all about the quality of my life at the moment. I can still get a good enough erection for sex with my wife even with my testosterone level of a castrated man although they are not as often as I would like them. My moto now is never waste an erection :D

How old are you Richkez32? I’m amazed that you’re able to have natural erections after all that damage.

I had my 54th birthday 2 days ago
I had a RP in 2016 and a year later My psa started to rise resulting in having 37 sections of radio therapy. 2021 Testosterone replacement stopped due to psa rising again. Oncologist says most likely coming from a malignant source. I am at my wits end.

Surgery in Feb. 2020. No reaction to Viagra or Cialis. Used Vacuum device for over a year. Finally decided on injections after 18 months. Good success after experimenting on dosage. Only 8 ml for good success now. Two years out I tried Viagra 80 mil with some success. It appears time since surgery makes a difference.

RP in 2007. Time does help. I used VED after surgery and it took almost a year to be able to get semi erect on my own. Now, with the proper stimulation, it gets pretty good. Not like it was pre operation but good enough. Even get wood during the night now, sometimes multiple times a night. I really feel that getting blood flow right after the surgery was a key thing for me.

Hi Guys
I had my my prostate removed in 2015, One side spared and have never come close to a natural erection. Taking 5- 10 mg of Taladifil and cialis can beef me up a little but never anything i could use for penetration. I use the vacuum pump and cock rings for what is an unspontaneous 10 min of brief sex before the cock rings completely shut off any feelings. I reach orgasm but its not near what i used to be able to do..... Its depressing and i can t really share this story which is also tough ... keep waiting for this gel to be the wonder drug but am not hopeful .... Viagra and similar drugs give me huge bags under my eyes and make me feel nautious with heartburn too.... having to accept the situation is very hard as was very sexually driven ... now 61 years old i can't face the Implant Op as it looks so painful and I read of other's dissatisfaction with it. Being sexually inadequate is tough but i make every effort to give my girlfriend an orgasm mainly through oral. Sorry its not a positive story here there you have it. Your POV"S welcome
thank you

Cranberry 1. To each his own, some people are just opposed to implants and that’s fine…. I was opposed to injections but overcame my fears and turned out to be the best thing as pills were failing… now 16 months in I’m having issues with shots and am going wholeheartedly into implant… hoping for best results and not thinking about the bad…. Try not to look at negatives, you hear a lot of the negativity here on implants but if you take into account that most that have a great experience don’t post as opposed to one’s having problems… still with a high volume implanted there’s less than a 1%chance of infection and around 80% of implants are still working over 10 years! That’s pretty good odds! I’ll be bionic within a couple months, on hold for the moment pending insurance.

I did the pills never great results. Moved to shots they worked great for a while then quit working. Moved on the implant and wished I had done it years ago. Loving my stiff rod.
