I don’t know that most (any) get animal-like libido. For me the libido piece is almost like a yearning, an anxiety. I think you could look at max doses used in clinical trials, but feel like 4mg should be OK for you to try next. There’s some YMMV here… not sure who you got it from but sounds like it’s legit since you got SOME reaction.[/quote]

Even at 3.15 Mg, I had very little effect (very slight erection). I can't decide if this was a bad batch of that I just don't respond to the peptide.

I received the PT-141 nasal spray. So far a complete failure…..well except for the extreme face flushing and hypertension! I have not had an erection or even a chubby! Nor did I sense any libido enhancement but I’m not having any issues wanting sex so not a problem that advertised benefit wasn’t experienced.
I’ve used it twice 72 hours apart and I’m very disappointed. I’m not saying the spray won’t work for some but it hasn’t for me.
Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.

Airhead, I believe the strongest and maybe only reason is because the trial(s) leading to Vyleesi’s approval only involved pre-menopausal women with HSDD (hypoactuve sexual desire disorder aka low libido).
ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.

Thanks BrokenPiston, makes perfect sense. :)
Married 42 years. Heart attack at 58. Stented. CAD. Heart meds along with the CAD are raising hell with Willy's willingness to come out and play. Sildenafil works, but with annoying side effects. We're having a VERY enjoyable experience with Trimix!

I’d say try mixing/injecting in lieu of nasal if you’ve got the patience/wallet. Others will benefit and of course maybe you too more importantly.

EDIT: on the other hand, it’s not like the drug isn’t getting into you with the nasal spray. Maybe you weren’t spraying enough? Somebody may have posted here about spray dosage for a man.

Thanks Brokenpiston.
The dosage on the bottle is 8 sprays. I put four sprays in each nostril. I was beet red with flushed face in about 10 minutes and my BP jumped up 50 point! I would say I got the PT 141 in my system.
I’ll just stick with the Trimix it works great! I was looking for an alternative method is the only reason I wanted to try this. I do not know if injection of PT-141 would be any different for me.

Hi brokenpiston,

But if theres potential to make lots of money from pt141 by marketing it to men, why hasnt it been done already? Obviously, there more dinero to be made with men than with woman. Fails to make sense to me.

Good question. First answer: I don't know. Second answer: Maybe because ED drugs already have a lot of marketshare. Based on anecdotal reports here it seems like ED drugs work for more men with fewer side effects than PT-141. Or maybe men have fewer "libido" problems than women. Or maybe it's not defensible in patents given that it's now open source, basically. (Not sure what patents Vyleesi had / has to justify taking it through the expense of trial so that they could own the market for 3 (?) years before generics come online.)

Makes sense considering all of that. Thanks for your valuable input brokenpiston!

Last thing. Could you explain how my libido shot up and my morning wood became more frequent while I was sick with the flu? But after I was healed, I no longer am experiencing the high libido and morning wood I once enjoyed while I was sick. Could you explain this?

PT-141 Bremelanotide has been approved by FDA for use in pre-menopausal women because that’s the group that it’s been tested on. Reason being, they were actually developing it to increase tanning, and found it had some unexpected benefits in this group of women.
I’ve had increasing trouble reaching orgasm since my prostatectomy 4 years ago. I asked my urologist about PT-141, he said, “understand, it’s not approved by FDA, but, that said, I have no problem prescribing and let you give it a try.”
Mixed results so far, first couple of tries were uneventful, but timing might have been off. Last time, I increased dose to 2units, then wife wasn’t ready for about. 3 hours, had the best orgasm with intercourse that I’ve had in years!
Possible downside; last couple of times, for about 24 hours after injection, I felt like I’d been run over by a truck! Every muscle and bone in my body ached, didn’t want to go or do anything. It’s just been since the last event that I realized this might be a reaction, so, I’ll be testing some more…
