Hello to all

Postby topdog » Mon Oct 07, 2013 10:55 am

Hello from Rob aka topdog. I found this site by searching for information on the internet. I'm challenged in several areas. First, though not the most serious challenge is that I am new to the forum and somewhat technically lacking. I hope this is the proper way to post. I hit reply, not finding a "post" feature.
Next, I have been working on ED pretty much my entire adult life if I think back on my history. I have been frustrated by not being able to pinpoint the issues which I suspect are co-mingled. I suspect the ED problem is largely psychological but may or may not be combined with a physical issue.
Intimacy seems to be the former problem. Low libido or something else (?) seems to be the latter. I wish I could be more clear but maybe I need to find the proper forum first.

Hiya and welcome Rob...

Apparently you did your post just fine as it appeared today.

I sympathize with your difficulty ... You need to take some active steps to overcome it (or them).

Being a 3 year member of Frank Talk, I suggest that your review as many of the posts in the Discussion Forums as you can.

Also, I suggest you find a good Urologist with whom you can be comfortable discussing the problem.

My disappointments from ED are now a thing of the past . Frank Talk has been such a help to be I will be forever grateful to Paul and his Frank Talk site.

The Chatroom is a good spot to find other members and what they have done ... most all of them will be friendly and help when they are able.

I can be contacted at the email address below ....

Bill
75 Year Old guy in Michigan, married in 1958, ED since late '90s, then surgery in 2008 (not prostate or other genital) damaged some nerves making the ED worse. Now on trimix

Welcome to FT Rob.
I would recommend that you make an appointment wit a urologist who specializes in Male Sexual Dysfunction.
He/she will probably run a Penile Doppler Blood Flow Test to check for arterial insuffiency ( a cause of ED) and also
check for Venous Leakage (another cause of ED).
Once the root cause of your ED is discovered various Treatment Modalities can be offered for your consideration including:
PDE5-Inhibitors (Viagra, etc)
VED (Vacuum Erection Device)
Injections (Trimix, etc.)
Penile Implant
Best of Luck,
Bob
