erectile Dysfunction sufferer

Postby gubinstrumpa » Mon Feb 25, 2013 11:06 am

Hello I am a new member, I have type 2 diabetes, I was diagnosed with diabetes after putting on a little weight after retiring, I have suffered ED for about 9 years, I think it may of been caused by taking medication for depression, after plucking up the courage and with the help of my very supportive wife I made an appointment with my GP, I thought it would be just a few questions about lifestyle etc, but no, My GP gave me an examination of the genitals, this was bad enough but being a youngish female it felt worse, after feeling my testicles, then examining my penis I was told she would prescribe 100 mg Viagra, these did not work for the first three or four times but then had some good effects, but I was getting erections through the night and next morning, brilliant for me but a bit of a bugbear for my wife.

gubinstrumpa ... Welcome to FT ...
Your diabetes most likely has just as much to do with your ED issues as the meds you were taking. It's a good sign that you get a response from Viagra ... however you should consider using a VED to maintain your penis health ...

You shouldn't feel embarrassed to discuss your ED with the Doc ... keep us posted of your progress.
