losangeles new boy on the block

Postby losangeles » Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:39 pm

hello guys, i am 59 years old with type II diabetes for 8 years. has slowly stolen my sex life with my wife and given me a terrible case of "blues" and i do not mean my balls. have tried pills, trimix, pump (elite custom manual), and finally injections. not real fond of the injections and in all honesty probably did not give it a fair chance. found website from a AMS Implant brouchur . i am amazed at how much there is out here in the form of good guy talk about a very private and dibilitating problem. have appt with uro 1/17/13 to talk other options. have many questions about implants. so there it is.anything else you want to know, i am a open book. i need all the help and advice i can get. btw wife is onboard with me to fix problem, what ever is ok with me.

LA,
Welcome, glad you already feel comfortable here. Apparently you've been reading up on the 'many' topical threads here at FT. I agree, this place is special. I've found for ED related. If not for these guys, I'd still be lost.

Welcome to FrankTalk LA.
I am 74 years of age and was underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure in December 2007 after
developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of
now 50 years.
I'm sure that some of my Bionic FT Brothers will chime in with their stories also.
The guys on FT are the best and always willing to share their experiences in the battle against ED and its many negative
side effects. I also highly recommend our Chat Room!!

Best of luck.

Welcome to FT.

Another satisfied implantee here, AMS 700 LGX. Sounds like you have already been doing your homework. Though I am very pleased with my results to this point, I suggest you look at the not so good results also for a better picture of the range of outcomes. Be sure and inform any urologist you work with about things that could complicate matters, such as hernia repairs, taking blood thinners, diabetes, prostate cancer surgery. All those things and probably some that I have missed can effect the approach used by the surgeon.

Though I personally had one delay in implantation I was thrilled with the results. PC surgery side effects meant I had to have a bladder obstruction removed before the implant and an old hernia repair meant the reservoir went in a different location. PC surgery scar dictated the scrotal approach for implant.

Lots of things to consider and discuss. Lots of good people here to help you.

Welcome aboard.

Dave
