Re: Return of erections after RP
Tarheel: I'm in pretty much the same boat as you. We screwed around for two years with all the therapies with variable but unsatisfying results. At 2 year check up, Surgeon recommended an implant. We went ahead with it on Jan 6, 2016 and are very satisfied. I've posted my journey, take a look. If yo...

Re: Caverject Muse Pellets Question
TX: As Dave, I had no luck with Muse. It come in three strengths, 250, 500, and 1000mcg. If you want to try it, I'd recommend the 500mcg strength. If you need more, go to two pellets. The way it is packaged, splitting a pellet is not very practical. It comes in an applicator that you insert into the...

Re: Getting Back To Life
Vagabond: Different docs have different views. In my opinion, some are arbitrary and some are clinical. My doc said: no lifting more than a gallon of milk for two weeks. No sex for six weeks. (We cheated.. Surgery Jan 6, sex for Valentine’s day ) no vigorous exercise until he told me different. He h...

Re: Using The Pump
I agree totally with Dave. Early on it is slow and somewhat frustrating. First, you need to allow swelling to diminish. Once the scrotum is palpable, experiment. Find the pump, the bulb, and the deflate valve. Don;t initially try and get a full erection, do three or four squeezes, then deflate. Once...

Re: Getting Nervous
Vagabond: As my sister in law once said: "if you are not nervous before surgery, you are stupid." I too had a couple of month wait between decision and surgery. My surgery and recovery went without a hitch. Make sure you are following all the pre op protocols, do your kegel exercises and s...

Cincinnatus Four Month Follow up visit Visited the Doc for a four month follow up on Tuesday. Again, surgical healing essentially done, incision barely noticeable. Doc had me inflate and deflate to critique my technique. Said I was doing everything properly. I had mentioned in earlier posts that I h...

Re: Happy with implant? Who is your surgeon?
Jimmy: I was implanted in Houston on January 6 by Dr. Mohit Khera of Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Urology Group. He doesn't get much press, but I found him to be extremely capable, very understanding and responsive. Look at my journey. I don't think it could have come out any better. my wife an...

Re: Reservoir palpable ?
Watssup: My reservoir is palpable, it was put in subcutaneously because I have a mesh bladder suspension post prostatectomy. I can feel the reservoir in the lower abdomen on the right about halfway between the mid line and my side. It is just above the pubic hair line, no where near the penis. Cinci...

Cincinnatus three month update April 4, 2016 Franktalkers: It is with some trepidation I report my continued good recovery. I really feel blessed to have dodged the discomfort and uncertainty some of those implanted around the same time are experiencing; but, here goes. Physical- continues to go wel...
