Re: Autoinjector use for heavy-set guys
Thanks for the advice... I had my first injection at the uro's office. He did the injection. I talked to him about having a little more control with an autoinjector based on the limited view I had. He thought I had a good point. I thought about doing the injection in front of a mirror, but being bac...

Re: Pump success, but constriction rings don't
I'm using a "conventional" pump without the special ring applicator, but I can get the ring applied very close to my body in one motion before the vacuum is released, but I lose any rigidity within 15 seconds or so. My next attempt will try 2 rings.
Thanks for all the replies.

Re: Pump success, but constriction rings don't
I will certainly try 2 rings. Have you found that the very quick application of the ring makes a difference? As I mentioned, I don't release the vacuum before applying - I just pull the VED away from my body a 1/2-inch or so (so penis is still in the cylinder under vacuum), slide the ring down, then...

Re: Pump success, but constriction rings don't
Thanks for the "technique". I've put on the constriction ring before releasing the vacuum, similar to you - I pull the cylinder away just a bit so there's room for the ring to snap down into place. Interestingly for me, it hasn't hurt, even with the tightest ring (other than catching some ...

Re: Pump success, but constriction rings don't
Thanks for the reply. Yes, still experimenting with the VED and different types of rings/straps. I just received my Bimix from the pharmacy...First trial injection at the Urologist's office next week. Some guys have said use a constriction ring after the injection? I assume that's if the injection i...

Pump success, but constriction rings don't
Hi, It's sometimes difficult to search through the many informative messages on this forum, so I'm going to ask this question again - i apologize if it's repetitive. I'm 1 year post-prostatectomy. I've been trying a pump as part of penile rehab. Have been on Viagra 60mg (now 100mg) 3 days/week since...

Re: Brand and model of autoinjectors
Thanks Fordman, I see you're using the Autoject EI - that's the one that I can find videos demonstrating its use, even though that is NOT the one that Owen Mumford's website says is OK for intracavernosal injections. It's amazing that clear information isn't available. I'm happy to hear that you hav...

Brand and model of autoinjectors
Hi all, There have been quite a number of posts regarding specific brands and models of autoinjectors here, for which I thank everyone. I've been looking at various models of autoinjectors. One specific model mentioned here on franktalk is the Owen Mumford Autoject 2 EI. However, I found a chart on ...

Autoinjector use for heavy-set guys
Hi all, I am about to begin injection therapy (Bimix PGE1+ Phentolamine) after nerve-sparing robotic prostate removal about a year ago. Have been on Viagra 3 times a week (60mg ramping up to 100mg) since about a month after surgery for penile rehab, but have had no real success in restoring my erect...
