Re: New meds for me
Since your doc is willing to to work with you, I'd suggest researching here on Trimix strength. 30/1/10 is a common starting place. The numbers are Papeverine/Phentolamine/PGE1. It's the PGE1 that causes the ache (but also the rigidness). You'll see ratios for PGE1 as high as 40 or 50 - start low an...

Re: New meds for me
Each guy's reaction to the medications is different. But units are units as far as the measurement is concerned 1 unit = .1ml. So a 1ml syringe has a capacity of 100 units. However, the concentration of your prescription can differ. So 10 units of 20mcg per ml is half the medicine as 10 units of 40m...

Re: I'm So Frustrated!!!
I've posted this before on other threads, but want to agree with others - work with your uro to find the right formula / dosage. Rigidness/firmness is caused mainly by the PGE1 while duration is from the phentolamine. I am on a somewhat-unusual Bimix of those 2 (usually Bimix is Phentolamine / Papev...

Re: New bimix formula
I recently started with the same formulation of Bimix. Granted it seems to be a bit "unusual" based on the number of postings here and ads from ED clinics, but not unheard of. There are longer term side effects of Papeverine (scarring) that may be the reason for your doc to prescribe this ...

Re: Arousal problems with Bimix
I have had success with erections using Bimix, but even pre-injection, I could achieve orgasm, but it took a very long time - sometimes an hour of stimulation. This included watching porn (my wife got tired after 30-40 minutes). I thought I may be desensitized, so I tried something - no sex, no manu...

Re: wildly different results
Just injected @ 11:00 vs 9:00 on the left side ,which was less consistent than right, and got a much BETTER response...very quick and robust. Cool! So your results and mine are similar! But I agree with Leesburg - not everyone is the same anatomically. So the best advice is to try what your doc rec...

Re: wildly different results
Yeah, my uro told me to inject slowly so that I can feel the tunica, and if I can't push the plunger, withdraw the syringe and move a little bit. It took a few injections for me to have the courage to stick myself twice - AND go slow. Granted, the poke hurts only a tiny bit, but it took me a few pok...

Re: wildly different results
Many references say to inject close to the base of the penis. He had me inject only about 1.5-2 inches behind the glans, and at 10:30-11:00 instead of 9:00 Interesting...why at this angle, instead of straight into the side (9:00/3:00)? I didn't think to ask my urologist why, but both the initial in...

Re: wildly different results
Chiming in a month or so after this thread has started, but I agree with the others who say you're missing the corpus. I had similar issues. When I visited my urologist for a follow-up, he had me move the location of the injection. Many references say to inject close to the base of the penis. He had...

Re: Injection mistake. Swelling
I had similar issues with my Bimix. I had tried both manual and using an autoinjector. I noticed quite a bit of resistance during injection and ended up with swelling like you did. What this means is that you most likely are not penetrating the tunica - the membrane surrounding the corpus cavernosa ...
