Re: Very difficult time inflating, as well

You need to give it more time. 6-8 weeks is pretty early - it will get better with use. Mine (Titan) was difficult for at least 12 weeks, and gradual improvement continued after that.

Re: Has anyone on this board fathered a child with an implant?

I'm just speculating here, but I suspect that the majority of implant recipients are beyond the usual age of procreation - obviously it's possible to father a child at very advanced years, but few men choose to do so. But in any case there is no reason why an implanted potent man would not be able t...

Re: To tell friends or not about implant?

Looks like most of us keep this to ourselves. I, too, have told no one (present company excepted). Only I, my wife, and my docs know I have the implant. If somebody asked, I'd readily admit to having one, but I'm not advertising it either. Seems to me it's nobody's business.

Re: Testosterone Therapy options

dg_moore, Thanks for your response. My primary care physician put me on Androderm patches but after about two weeks, she took my off because the patches were burning my skin so much that it blistered in spots. So when I talked to my urologist and shared my experience about the patches, he didn't fe...

I don't understand why UMMC went ahead with the procedure if they didn't have insurance preapproval in the first place.

Re: Very difficult time fully deflating - AMS 700

I don't know about the AMS, but I have had a Coloplast Titan since 2008 and have never been able to deflate it as much as I'd like - some fluid always migrates back into the cylinders after deflation. My uro says this is normal behavior - more of the length of the cylinders is inside the body than o...

Re: Testosterone Therapy options

I just started on T replacement. I am using Androderm patches for now, but they are pretty clumsy - I'm fairly active and two patches fell off the first week (you use one patch per day), and they come loose along the long edges during normal activity. I went with Androderm because Medicare doesn't p...

Re: After implant penis gets extremely cold

From my experience what you report is not normal. I'd see the surgeon and follow up with him - feeling cold suggests lack of blood circulation, which is not a good thing.
