Re: Fear
Look, I am an old man, but remember every one of us old men had to go through your age to get where we are now. Your youth is a fleeting thing, and anything you can do to make it as gloriously enjoyable as possible is probably a good idea. If you go ahead (strongly recommended) and get an implant n...

Re: For Brits looking for best surgeon in the UK
Wow, how cool is this? Well done. Re: the NHS point, have you been offered the surgery? I'm having extreme difficulty with them, up to the point where now I'm considering just going private. How are you progressing with your consultants? After all you have been reading here... All the botched impla...

Re: Best UK implant surgeon
I'm going to get implanted, yep. Sadly the progress with the NHS is coming to a standstill so I might need to lay down the cash just to move on with my life.

Re: Best UK implant surgeon
I would add Evangelos Zacharakis to that list. Some very positive words said about him on this forum. He's currently on a sabbatical in Greece sadly so he won't be available if you're having surgery in the next few months.

Who have you told?
I want to know - who have you told? For me - whether rightly or wrongly - half of the battle with ED is having to suffer in silence. Alot of our extremely intelligent and valued older members on FT have stated they never really felt the need to share their problem with their peers, but I can't help ...

Re: Female acceptance?
If it all goes well and your surgical outcome is good, your time for worry will be over. Any woman who doesn't wanna take a ride on your disco stick can go to the back of the queue. Years ago I used to wonder about female acceptance but now I'm fully over it - if they're not down for the ride then t...

Does infection = sex life over?
My urologist labours this point intensively, so I just wanted to ask what the board consensus on this was? He says one of the prime reasons they have not offered an implant until very late on is that if you get an infection your erections are toast for life. Whilst loss of size and potentially havin...

Re: Should I wait until I'm at 0% function before getting implant?
Powerful replies here guys, thanks very much. I guess in a weird way it would be simpler just to take the plunge and thus have a binary outcome...either it's a success and I tick this life problem off the list, or it's not and I can just say to myself 'ok anything re: sex is off for the next 'x' mon...

Should I wait until I'm at 0% function before getting implant?
I'm currently in a bit of a dilemma. Savage venous leak not cured by sclerotherapy (although did improve short-term) and somewhat responsive to Cialis, although condoms are a complete no-go. To put a number on it I'd say I'm at 30-40%. An implant, if successful and without complications, would get m...
