Re: Private Insurance in California that covers IPP
Hi Goose, I had my implant removal and replacement surgery with Dr. Patel and recommend him very very highly. Very knowledgable, detail oriented, and does what he can to optimize YOUR outcome! I think there are a few people on FT that have had surgery or considering surgery with him, haven't seen an...

hang in there - all normal thoughts and emotions.
the minor discomfort you have now, is an investment in having great quality erections moving forward. It will all be alright.

Re: Recommendations for Implant Surgeon in Southern California
Hello FT. Have been thinking about implant for a while now and just saw Dr. Yafi this week for my first consultation. I was a little underimpressed and I am inclined towards an AMS implant (for various reasons). Anyone have any recommendations for a trustworthy surgeon in southern California. I've ...

Forgot to add! - gently start tugging down on the pump a few times a day (tug and hold for 30 seconds towards the bottom of the scrotum). It can move some in the first few weeks after surgery until it scars in but you may need a pump replacement.

Re: AMS 700 cx pump is sutured so high it’s touching the shaft…
Dr. Blick is a high volume surgeon and I thought about having my second surgery with him. I had somewhat high riding pump after my first surgery with Dr. Goldstein. I think some of it has to do with the length of the tubing. There is a lot of negative views toward rear tips solid extensions but that...

Re: Worried about capsule formation and peyronie’s -Day 3 post-op and want to start cycling
a lot of questions about cycling on FT. Agree with others - 1st listen to your surgeon. Each have their own schedules for cycling and post surgery care, that works with their surgical technique. Based on my own questions to my surgeon, although it is nice to cycle sooner, if you have swelling and br...

Re: my doctor said cycling doesn't work
Not surprising - Dr. Malik has like a billion views for all her videos on youtube and is a claimed "expert." A lot of marketing and self-promotion about topics that she does not actually seem very knowledgable in. Every high volume surgeon would agree that cycling does work (with or withou...

Re: Cigna declined me
This blows my mind! - does your surgeon do a lot of implants? A lot of the commercial insurers have really strict criteria and the surgeon has to carefully document the medical need. As mentioned above they may need to do a doc to doc review with the insurance folks. check this out https://static.ci...

Re: Clomid prior to IPP surgery
why not just go on testosterone treatments rather than clomid? I went on TRT prior to my implant - surgeon who was author on the research study, made case that low testosterone may increase the risk of infection. https://www.physiciansweekly.com/hypogo ... infection/

Re: Excision & Grafting with Implant- Length
Hi, great question. I originally would have chosen to get a plaque incision/excision with my original implant however wasn't offered or the knowledge about it. Ultimately, things got smaller even with the implant until I was able to gain some length with the second procedure. With the plaque excisio...
