Re: Implant Scheduled for Jan 24, 2023

Good reports! TBH, I'm impressed with your ability to pay your gas bill with all those hot baths!

Re: Surgery with Dr. Hakky next month - have a couple questions

I think he probably said "infrapubic", although there may be a "suprapubic" I've never heard of. There are 2 schools of thought on IP vs PS (infrapubic vs penoscrotal). Dr. Perito claims that at the 6 month mark the outcomes should be identical, no matter which surgical approach ...

Re: Cycling- Full Inflation?

Please stop spreading misinformation regarding peno-scrotal surgeries. You seem to be trying to justify your decision to get infra-pubic, which I believe was a bad idea. I agree with Bwtbb, although I don't necessarily believe IP was a bad idea. You do whatever your surgeon recommends and whatever ...

Re: Titan growth?

More likely the cylinders are run "thru" the spongisosum, which is what I think you see them doing when they run the sutures thru the glans with the needle at the end of the rod to guide the insertion of the cylinders in the corpora. It's not "more likely", that's exactly what t...

Re: Titan growth?

The implant cylinders are like balloons that are placed in the corpora cavernosa after the corpus spongisosum is removed. sswinsfba : I've watched a number of implant surgeries on Youtube and elsewhere, and I've never seen any tissue removed. Did Dr. Karpman remove your corpus spongiosum? I think t...

Re: What have people told their families?

I had this talk with my oldest son last night. He lives in Houston, and we're going to visit them for a few days and then I'm going to stay in Houston for the surgery. I called and just told him that I had done some research and found that Houston is a hotbed for quality urological care, and it seem...

Re: I Officially Join The Club January 27th

Regarding the soreness you mentioned, I mostly felt discomfort when sitting for about the first 12-14 days. The harder the surface the more I found myself squirming. I bought the attached cushion on Amazon, and it was a lifesaver? Notice the cutouts where your scrotum would be. That took so much pr...

Re: AMS pump issues.

I’m hoping the AMS 700 cx I had installed in October 2022 isn’t a defective one. The only recall I can find on AMS pumps was in late 2020. To ease your mind, I'm sure that by 2022 the defective pumps had all been returned by the doctors and replaced with pumps without the defect. BS claims less tha...

Re: questions for guys with titan implant

Personally, I didn't want the scar visible above my penis. My wife and I frequent resorts where that would be evident to others. Another factor was the risk of nerve damage going in infra-pubically, as the nerve bundle to the penis is largely on the top side. Pump placement is much easier using PS, ...

Re: which implant is best in your opinion?

This doctor implants a very high number of both, and states there are pros and cons of each implant that may be a better fit for your particular need. If one implant was provably better than the other, surgeons would never use the lesser unit.
