Re: The Countdown Begins

Best wishes bro. You'll soon be all done and on the recovery path before you know it. Likewise-- this forum helped me beyond and more. I'm only just 3 weeks implanted and it was nowhere near as difficult as I expected . I pumped it up yesterday and it is like a weapon of mass pussy destruction (in t...

Re: Tomorrow is my day! 13th Feb UCLH (London) - Surgery

Update -- So I am due to attend a follow up 7th March but spoke to the consultant yesterday about my concern about the reservoir and mentioned the discomfort from the dog ear sections. He said when we inflate you can inflate to reduce dog ears. Anyway, me being me, and not the most patient and not a...

Re: Is it Normal to Be Able to Feel the Reservoir

This is exactly where mine is only difference is now I can feel it when I touch it where I couldn't a few weeks ago I have my follow-up on the 7th March to start cycling so what I find out there I will report back. The deal I made with myself is I won't be concerned or worried unless it gets closer...

Re: Is it Normal to Be Able to Feel the Reservoir

Mine protrudes and not a big deal at all. It is what it is. Maybe takes some time to get used to. 15 months in and i am very active as well. Thanks. The issue was if it had moved. I had never seen it or felt it previously, so there was a difference. If it has stayed in the right place, then I am mo...

Mine is about the same, an inch and half above the shaft on the right. The belly button is about 7 inches up.

Thanks

Re: Downside to not leaving inflated post-op?

Does inflation hurt at week 3? I have no idea. I go for my aftercare appt. 7th March. My guess is 'based on everything I have read here' is inflation or cycling can be uncomfortable for some time. And, then it's all about using the pump. I used a VED for more than 2 years prior to the operation, an...

Re: Downside to not leaving inflated post-op?

We at the UCLH London hospital are inflated overnight then after the drain and catheter is removed we are deflated- then go home on day 2. After 3 weeks we return for aftercare then begin cycling (if all is well). I don't know of any pros and cons between all the various ways surgeons do it differen...

Thanks.

This might warrant a trip to the hospital tomorrow as it's not looking too promising.

Re: Is it Normal to Be Able to Feel the Reservoir

Yours was placed infrapubic though, correct? I think procedures done infrapubic have more "options" as to the placement of the reservoir. And I agree 1000% this would in no way detract from the satisfaction I currently have with my decision to go through with the implant. I just want to m...
